No, dear, the back and forth on the Centurion/Cinelli....pretty bikes are sirens calling to us all.
I shipwreck on the rocks of old bikes all the time......

Bikes: 07 Vanilla, 98 IRD road frame built up with 25th Ann DA, Surly cross check with 105 comp, 78 Raleigh Comp GS, 85 Centurionelli

Thanks for all the posted pics and info; great to learn more about my project. So inspired by Jan's pics of his awesome red example I found a pair of Monoplaner brakes for my project for only $75. Now my decision is between: Polished NR cranks (which came out awesome) and NR calipers with the round, not pointed nuts...or the very cool stock Mistral cranks with the neat and rarely-seen Mono brakes...
Opinions solicited.

And thanks again, you guys are a FOUNT of knowledge.

There you go, calling us names....

If you still have the NR FD and RD, patent 84 that came on the bike, I'd imagine completing the pkg with the cranks and calipers would be cool, but what levers?

I like the Mistral cranks. I like the Mono brakes. The original bike was already a mix. Now, you've got the Centurion bike that's pretty much a Cinelli, and if you use the Mistral cranks, Mono brakes, you'll be keeping with the "upscale mongrel" theme.

Levers...yes, levers. This has me trolling Vintage on E-bay until my mousehand is cramped. Ideally I'd love to find some of the first-gen Campy aero option levers, but unobtainium....unless someone's got a pair they'll part with for a good cause? Along with a period correct QR nut for the rear (has the wrong one now, previously noted. the fr is correct).

Yes, shameless begging...this is what it's coming down to.

would love to get a mistral crank one of these days. hold on to that one, poprad! i'm into weird frankenbikes, like the original centurion here. gives us some freedom to experiment.

recently found a dusty NOS croce d'aune crank which i tentatively mounted on the equipe:

i might have an extra complete skewer for your project. will scan the stash tomorrow.
