Yep, I think it was built in August of 1962 to be sold in 1963. The 1963 catalog shows a 20" Racer in the lineup.

There was a neighborhood garage sale a few miles from my house today. I spent a couple hours checking out the various locations that were having yard sales. I picked up a couple sets of pedals for cheap and an 82/83 Peugeot Mixte. The bike came with a brand new helmet still in the box with all tags and the receipt ($52). My wife was in need of a new helmet so she gets it. The bike and helmet set me back $20. The bike is nothing special BUT it is in perfect condition. I spent about an hour cleaning and getting it all lubed up. It is now listed on CL.

Picked up this Sugino Competition crank at a gear swap and paid $10.00 for it... singulated it and installed it on the Moulton today.

'76 (?) Raleigh Sprite
Spotted hanging upside down in the dim recesses of the rafters of an antique store where it has apparently resided for the past 15 years. Seems in great shape and mostly original although not sure about the Suntour GT 7 RD as '76 catalog seems to indicate Huret. Will need new grease in appropriate spots, a good scrub to remove dirt and grime plus some new tires and tubes.

Sorta bike related... hit the semi annual gear swap at MEC this am and picked up a fairly light 2 man tent that I will use for cyclo-touring, a backpack, and a pair of new (but returned) hiking boots.
Got $500.00 worth of new gear for $45.00... the boots were $10.00 and the priciest item in the lot as they retail for $319.00. |

Your acronyms baffle me. What is PDX, YEG, and MEC??
MEC is Mountain Equipment Co-op, a large Canadian chain modelled after REI in the U.S. |
I sold the Peugeot today. I owned it for exactly 24 hours. I sold it to a young guy that was just getting into biking. He bought it as a present for his girlfriend. He was very excited to get it. I sold it to him for a very reasonable price so that made both of us happy.
It was a good weekend for me. I also sold a Univega Gran Premio that I had listed for about 2 weeks.

had another lucky day with the scrap guy yesterday, he had a very nice peugeot, all original even had front and rear tire savers, half hoods on the levers were still soft and white. little to big for me so it was a nice bike for a friend. i did take the leather saddle off and replaced it. i think the saddle will go on my trek 420 its still soft. also picked up this cool little 3 speed bike. didnt take any pics of the peugeot, but i figured you all know what those look like. it was the blue one, and no it wasnt a px-10..

Picked up this 1989 Panasonic DX4000 today. It is currently set up as a SS. I'll be digging in the bin and returning it to its original orientation.

This was in the neighbor's yard with a "free stuff" sign on it. (I got this pic from the web.) Mine has some rust, and the seat is not original but a quick inspection shows that it shouldn't take much to get it running again. I'll probably get it running then give it away.
