Part-out??!? I'd build up that bike in a New York minute. Might even be tempted to leave the finish as is, except to touch up to prevent rust. Halfway decent old MTB front wheel would be, what, $10 at the local bike kitchen, right?
What number Tange is it? Or is it just "MTB" with the pinkish panel? |
That must have been a beauty in the mid-80's. It has similar parts to my Muddy Fox. Sugino cranks, pedals, integrated shifters, etc. Good stuff. I'd be refurbishing that and riding it since it looks my size.

Those pedals are coveted, looks like the thumbies are integrated with brake lever, cool? That paint looks bad, but I bet it was rockin when it was new. ;)

^^^^^^ +1; this one deserves touch-up / finish repair rather than a respray. Esp. since so much of the branding is there.
So those are those Suntour pedals with the rounded ends, right? Yes, I've heard they're sought-after.

Love those thumbies! I have a at least one spare front 26" wheel floating around if you decide to build it up and are ever in Seattle...although sadly a part out would probably be the most efficient use of time - some nice bits on that frame

It’s not too difficult to see that you guys are going to talk me into it. |
Only if we can talk you OUT of the respray.....
|
N+1 for the win. :innocent: (but not respray, just touch up).

"Unfortunatley the bear traps are missing their dust caps. There is a Oregon ebayer who is selling repops. Aside from condition, the paint is definitely 1980's rad! " I have a pair of those pedals needing dust caps, you have a link? |

Tried to say no, but they were sending it to the scrap heap. 77' Fuji Dynamic 12. Easy to date because it was only in the lineup for one year. |

I pulled this one from a dumpster. After a quick clean and tune up I’m ready pass it along at a cheap price for someone needing a bike. EDIT..Before someone says something, this is not a for sale post.. I posted it local only.... http://i1134.photobucket.com/albums/...pshy7xergu.jpg |

Nice. A lugged Mountain bike. It looks to be in great shape. Fuji's always had great paint jobs.
|
Has everything but the front reflector. These are making a comeback as bullet proof urban bikes.

^^^^^^ +1; an '80s MTB with that limo geometry, silver thumbies, and esp. a bull moose is one of my sorta-grail bikes.

The Mt. Fuji looks like a perfect platform for a lot of really cool stuff... <3

Picked a Lambert up for a little more than what the TA crankset is worth to me. It came with a set of garbage wheels set up single speed on BMX style Chinese hubs. And the rear derailleur was “lost.” Basically, the PO was in the process of destroying this bike. Not exactly sure what my plans are at this point. It’s in my size range, but definitely not a keeper. Strip it, and part it out, or build it, and flip it... Either way, I’m glad to have another TA triple on hand. https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...2054b4b4e.jpeg ...and to have saved some C&V from the inevitable dump! |
