Your best bet for the poster (assuming there is nothing valuable on the reverse side) will be to have it dry mounted to a piece of fomecor. That will both flatten the folds and prevent it from buckling in the frame when you get RH changes. |

Thannks for the tip on the poster. I'll probably get more serious about flattening it out later in the year. On the back is the 2001 Bianchi line, road and mtb. The Pantani side is much more interesting to me.
I don't know much about this spoke/wheel set up. I just though it would make a good shop wall hanger.. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...d579e44fae.jpg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...dd9ea8055d.jpg |

A 38" x 10" light up Lejeune sign. It was originally double sided, but one side panel is missing. Oh well, it will look just fine against a wall.
https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...dabaa5f611.jpg You should be able to get a ceiling light panel at Home Depot to replace the other side. You could even source a big die cut sticker for it, another brand or whatever. ;) |

This was leaning up against the dumpster at my neighborhood clean-up, w/o a seat. I grabbed an extra I had laying around and through on some brake hoods and new tape (which didn't look as good as I'd hoped). Sold it to someone to basically get back my money on the parts, and it was his 11th bike. |

Picked a Lambert up for a little more than what the TA crankset is worth to me. It came with a set of garbage wheels set up single speed on BMX style Chinese hubs. And the rear derailleur was “lost.” Basically, the PO was in the process of destroying this bike. Not exactly sure what my plans are at this point. It’s in my size range, but definitely not a keeper. Strip it, and part it out, or build it, and flip it... Either way, I’m glad to have another TA triple on hand. https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...2054b4b4e.jpeg ...and to have saved some C&V from the inevitable dump! |

Thanks. Yeah, I've been buying out a bike shop's old stash.
Got a couple of these wheel covers. The other has some Sharpie writing on it, and is in slightly poorer condition (like it was actually used). This one is pretty nice. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...874b1ccce8.jpg |
Picked this up for free this morning after my ride.

If people throw this sort of thing away, just what do they keep!? Good catch. Like the colour. |

What hath God wrought ?!
My mutant creepy dumpster bike, can you guess what it is ? (Was) this is my first attempt to post a pic......

Long time lurker, first time poster.
The wrenches would have come new with an old three speed Raleigh. Never seen that seatbag before though. |
Picked up a small Trek Elance 400 for a cousin who needs a bike. It's a little grungy but perfectly serviceable. 87?

This and some of the other nice details on the frame is really endearing me to old Treks. I particularly love the dropout lugs (is there a different term for those that I'm unaware of?) -- it looks like the bike is wearing old-school Danner boots or heavy wool socks. Also, neither C nor V, really, but I scored a 2000 Cannondale XS800 frame w/most of the drivetrain for a song. It's going to be fun to build up. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...f47a7e58e9.jpg |
Last night I took a short walk to grab a take out dinner from a neighborhood restaurant. Along the way I spotted most of a bicycle leaning against a trash can, curbside for the next morning’s garbage pick up.
I picked up the Thai dinner, and returned to the bike for closer inspection. Tange. SunTour. Sugino. Dia Compe. Nitto. Hideous paint! It looked interesting enough to adopt so I did what any C&V addict would do. I threw it over my shoulder and carried it home, wheel in one hand, and dinner in the other. And today here’s what appears to be 1987 Nishiki Ariel, and the lonely wheel it was tossed out with. The matching cat toy was not free by the way! https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...b7e5ba295.jpeg |

^^^^^^ +1; this one deserves touch-up / finish repair rather than a respray. Esp. since so much of the branding is there.
So those are those Suntour pedals with the rounded ends, right? Yes, I've heard they're sought-after. |
