You need to quote the poster for them to see a response from you, especially when you ask a question.

Many here see them anyway, many don't. ;)

Those are very good questions. Unfortunately I can not answer. I’ve been looking for the mail order catalog page scans from the day. So far my search is fruitless and futile. What I did find is there is a Blue Ridge Bike Club, and plenty of pictures of the club and their activities. They appear to be a very lively grouping.

This is/was a purchase at the local nonprofit outlet. I’m heading out to pick now, I didn’t want to carry home riding my bike yesterday.

a Performance Blue Ridge touring frame. Campy headset, Columbus tubing.

I found an archive of old Performance catalog pictures when I was searching for info on my Parabola. It's probably not be the same year, but it might be useful. Performance catalog pictures

The building I'm working in had a few bikes going into the dumpster. I picked up a yokota mariposa and a sun bikes sun cruiser. Pictures after I hit 10 posts.

Did manage to see a Mariposa in an image search. Nice find!

I have looked on Google but, not much has come up. Google lens brought up trek photos.

Bimizetti (sp?) maybe? A buddy who worked for them in Chapel Hill had one and he loved to mutter that name rapidly.

Rescued ALAN

I was kindly allowed to look over the vast sea of dumped/donated bikes at a recycling center today. Hundreds upon hundreds of junk to slightly better than junk quality mostly mountain bikes.
This ALAN stood out as the only bike I'd want to take home.
Paid around $18.00 US for it. Should be a fun project for winter.

Biemmezeta (which is Italian abbreviation, or the opposite nonabbreviation, for "B M Z" a highly regarded contract-builder in Italy)
These frames are well-made and have a minor cult following amongst "those who know", try an archive search for both the long-form and initial names

April Fool's Day bike
If you think vintage bike prices have taken a dump, take a look at tandems and recumbents - those niche bikes have fallen off the table.
But that means we all need at least one of each, right?
1998 Rans Tailwind
It had had an upgrade a while ago, but spent some time outside... rusty chain, two seized cables, rip in the seat cover, 8 speed cassette on a 7 speed shifter. Almost brand new tires and tubes rotted. Hope that I won't fall off this like I did the under seat steering Vision - handlebar is normal and wheelbase is long. What looks like bar enders were part of the mount for one of those giant bubble windshields.
https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...86e8e8bdfd.jpg
Asking price was $50, and I think I was the only interest.

.

I have been super tempted, lack of a vehicle big enough to collect and place to keep them, has held me back, not the bargain prices.

Bianchi Brava '88? left sitting for years in a plastic manufacturing warehouse. Owner (of company and bike) had stopped riding the old steel and moved on to the "lastest & greatest" road bike tech. While I was waiting in the lobby I was looking at there dusty display case of old products they have made. Much to my surprise there was what looked like a Dia-Compe MTN brake lever, all made from plastic. When I asked the owner he said they had made bike and motorcycle parts over the years. As we stepped into the warehouse there were huge industrial machines and 3 tiered racks filled with old product. Rows of Dusty old 3'x3'x3' boxes with giant familiar logos covering the whole box:

pic from my Moulton literature - did not take any pics in warehouse

They apparently made grips for Huffy for years and made some more modern ones for a MTN bike company.

Here's the Brava before any rehab - Seat post and stem both move freely

Aside from a bit of rust on a spring and come cable looks great! The handlebar tape looks like green electricians tape.

With a good cleaning, it will come out great. Agreed, the bar tape leaves a bit to be desired but that was the era and It matches!

I've got a mid 90's Tailwind. The seat back mesh takes a beating on these. I've gotten replacements from Rans in the past. These seem pretty stable to me, but turning your head to look behind seems to be a bit more tricky.
Mine has 20x1.35 tires.

Definitely the first Murray I ever bought, I passed over the ad a few times before I recognized the saddle outline in the tiny picture
