10 speed fmiacycle?
Hi what I wrote in the title is not a typo, (I hope). That's the name on the frame from what I can read from the picture.
My dad found this bike in storage. Im just wondering if there is any history on it.
Thanks.

I did a search and could not come up with anything for fmiacycle. Maybe there is a name of another manufacturer somewhere else on the bike.
Here is my guess about it's background. It was probably a dept. store brand, maybe sold in the early 80s. The components and the frame look comparable to a Huffy or Freespirit, cottered cranks, safety levers, steel brake calipers. It looks like a Shimano eagle rear derailler and probably a thunderbird in the front. The rear dropouts also look like they may be crimped in place. I am only guessing 80's because of the foam handgrips.
That said, my wife has a huffy scout and she loves it, I overhauled it on the cheap and have it running pretty well. That is probably not worth much money, but it is unique and looks like it is in nice shape. Sorry I could not help on the specific brand.

Thanks for the replies.
My dad also has this old Schwinn World Tour.
But I think he's going to just give them away to Goodwill or something. Anyone know what it would be worth? Or not worth the trouble of trying to sell it.
Pic of it in the attachment.

As is, $25ish. Cleaned, lubed, new tires, etc, $75-$120 depending on time of year and how hot your local market is.
edit: I just noticed one, described as in very good shape, for sale on my local CL for $85.

That bike has the Shimano FFS system on it. Many see that as a minus.

Either these bikes only make sense to sell if they are ready to ride. Otherwise, the price will be so low, I would donate them. To make them ready to ride, you will need to be able to do all the work yourself, and be really careful on the parts, otherwise, again, donating them makes the most sense.
I picked up a Schwinn Suburban last week for $8, needs tires, cables, tubes (probably), and a clean up. At least the frame and paint are pretty nice. The buy did not make sense financially, but I decided to go with it. Worst case is that I will just strip it (nice vintage seat and pedals for example). Fully cleaned up and ready to go, I am figuring it will go for $75, $100 if I get really lucky. So for the hassle and time fixing it up, I might make $25...
So looks like you have a couple of bikes to donate.
