"I am 5'10" and the bike is about a perfect fit as a daily commuter for me"

...and they only had the slam the seat ALL the way down and angle it down to achieve this perfect fit.

I saw one like that being ridden the other day. Only difference was the fork was so bent, from a crash when installed correctly, that the only way to ride the bike was with it turned around. DUI rider.

[h=2]Raleigh Super Course (60cm) (lugged steel) - $500 (N.Raleigh) [/h]https://raleigh.craigslist.org/bid/4205844728.html

All of the parts appear to be original except for the pedals and saddle because the pedals and saddle were upgraded.
Raleigh seat tube
This is a great example of a high quality American bicycle

Gold Raleigh Super Course (60 cm)
Lugged Steel frame by Carlton (531 Rynolds Steel)

The Carlton frames are very much sought-after by discerning cyclists who appreciate the springy feel of riding high quality steel. This one is no exception. It's a rare find, functions beautifully and feels lively when ridden.

New Brooks B. 17 Leather Saddle
SPD pedals
All of the parts appear to be original except for the pedals and saddle
because the pedals and saddle were upgraded.
5 speed freewheel
Standard chain rings (double rings)
Raleigh crank set
Raleigh seat tube
Raleigh Stem
bar end shifters
SunTour Cyclone rear derailleur
center pull brakes
drilled out winneman brake levers

This is a great example of a high quality American bicycle
Carlton frames are hard to come by and this one is beautiful

This bike was purchased in Durham in 1975 or 1976 and spent over 30 years sitting in storage. Then it was bought by the second owner and ridden gently.

Very nice bike.

Not really Wacky by C&V standards but well overpriced with a lot of stuff that just doesn't seem quit right.

I just don't get sellers that don't actually picture the bike as they intend to sell it. Or ones that don't clearly state a price it just seems they want a lot of hassle without selling.

But he reversed the handlebars to compensate for the fork. That makes it ok.

Color advisory

This, from New Hope PA:
"A 12 year old boy or a short woman could ride this bike, as its green color is gender neutral."

Good to know.

Another vastly over prices cannondale.

$800 caad 2 with downtube shifters and mismatched wheels. Sure you could get a new caad 10 for a couple hundred more, but there's just something about a 20 year old bike...

OK, these are waterproof, but....

Kind of too bad, as underneath this crap is a decent bike.

This person has been listing this bike for at least 3 years. They did reduce the price once to $450, but now its back to $499.

okay, now, myself and some people I know have a little horde of nice, clean, possibly rare, old saddles that if I was possessed to sell, I'd ask for a fair premium.
But this is just ridiculous (to be fair "or best offer"):

well, you gotta give 'em a little props for the effort (I guess). He'd prob take a reasonable offer on the pile of decent parts attached so thoughtfully to a hunk of factory steel
