Contacted the seller to let him know someone beat him to his "design" by at least 89 years as there is one in the Aug., 1926 issue of Popular Mechanics on page 316. His response was, "I don't want to hear your communist lies".
https://boise.craigslist.org/bik/5376022259.html http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=495602 Why ride a bike when you can mow your lawn? Why mow your yard when you can ride a bike? Why not ride a bike to mow your yard! This is an incredible piece of ingenuity made locally by myself. I have never seen such an amazing combination of two nearly perfect devices before. I've never seen such an object before and am currently in the process of working to have my invention patented. Unfortunately it is very expensive and I will need to sell my gen 1 prototype in order to get everything rolling. Be the first to own the lawn mower of the future. 375 firm. Call or email keith. |

Couldn't even set the bike right-side-up for the photo, eh? Maybe they didn't want to put any wear & tear on the kickstand.

56cm Bob Jackson High-End hand-made Italian-style road bicycle
http://images.craigslist.org/00x0x_7...R7_600x450.jpg
I bought this bike a couple of years ago from a secondhand store that aquired it from an estate. The frame has no identifying decals but When I saw the Campagnolo forged dropouts and realized the tubing was probably Reynolds 531 double-butted, and saw the extra fancy cut Italian style lugwork... My first clue came when I pulled the chainwheels to clean them and noticed the bottom bracket is English-threaded. The Italians were not likely to do this but the Japanese and English would. I at first thought the frameset was Italian and probably because of the Italian stay ends, fluted like Medici, but I think this is a special order Bob Jackson after seeing another with identical lugworks. ...:) |
I'm not an expert, but is this even a real Trek?

Again, I've been amazed at the CL'er ability to include the most useless and wrong imaginable measurements. Things like "25" Road bike " when it clearly is some small frame with 700C wheels. Or the 27" mountain bike and the 15" cruiser.
Whatever on earth are these people measuring. Of course, there are the ones that just plain can't include any measurement at all. How is it that somebody selling a fairly pricey fairly high-end bike wouldn't know that size matters. People, damn planet's lousy with 'em. |

My favorites are the "Tall Man's Bike"s. Almost without fail it's a 17-18 inch frame with a TALL seatpost, cruiser seat, adjustable stem sitting vertical, and riser bars.,,,,BD

Aluminum frame Gitane. Not a bad price though, and looks reasonably clean.,,,,BD

I see home built pedal mowers several times a year listed on craigslist and this one doesn't look to be particularly well done. They actually made some commercial retail ones in the 30's they never caught on and quickly disapeared as better powered mowers came on the market.

Raleigh Grand Pix- Needs to go by Monday (best offers accepted)
http://i.imgur.com/vsGhj69.jpg The description the seller gives on this one just baffles me... can anyone spot the Easton carbon fork? From the ad: "The Raleigh Grand Prix has been a consumer favorite for decades.it has an Atomic 13 aluminum frame, Easton EC70 carbon fork, 10 spd Shifters. Green color. very light weight. good paint condition. 32 inch tires. has not been used much but has some cracks on tires due to non usage. It still holds good air (perfect tube, no puncture) . See image. let me know if you have any questions. i want to get rid of this by Monday. ------- Tag: Bicycle, Tire, Raleigh ,Grand , Pix, traveling, aluminum frame, Shimano , Tiagra ,Road ,ride , Bike, Cycle, Bicycle, Race," |
