This bike had been listed everyday for months and months, the price never going down once. The seller said it was super rare or something like that. Looks like someone got tired of seeing the ads, and wrote a nice little message back to him.

https://buffalo.craigslist.org/bik/6002709210.html

It's been about 6 mo. I've seen this bike resisted every day. What the hell no one wants you dam bike . Put it out on the curb or whatever. It is not a super rare bike , at all.
Please stop !!

The seller in question deleted all the ads.

I really don't know where to begin. Oh, wait, I know! Credit should be accorded for the seller to mention the fork "will need to be adjusted." "Breaks", "Veinmann" (isn't he a mainlining superhero?), "Foot holds", oh, never mind.

"Sixties Era Bianchi Specialissima"...not

-----

Just ran across this wacky CL entry.

Photo format too small for me to identify frame/cycle but it is clearly not what it is purported to be by seller...

Perhaps those with image massaging savvy can ID this sled.

https://sfbay.craigslist.org/scz/bik/6035380874.html

---

Edit:

just ran across another listing for the same machine with larger format imagery. appears to be a Kawamura product from the early 70's, something like a Nishiki Kokusai.

Schizo Peugeot

PEUGEOT PX 10 S SUPER COMPETITION - $350 (Hilton Head)

"PEUGEOT PX 10 S SUPER COMPETITION -- VINTAGE FRENCH RACING BICYCLE 59cm

Peugeot PX10S . It is in overall very good condition. There are surface scratches and signs of normal use. It rides well, very smooth and straight. It has not been greased or revised. Original tubes and tires.

FRAME: Full Reynolds 531, color silver. Frame size from center to center 59, top tube 58cm (center to center). Simplex dropouts and lightrace headset.

Must Sell ---- Call Mike $350.00 OBO ------"

https://hiltonhead.craigslist.org/bik/6040212050.html

Is it a "Super Competition"?

Or is it a "Course"?

I don't know enough about Peugeot to go any further than raising the question. Maybe those wacky French made a bike of 531 labelled both "Course" and "Super Competition"?

However, I see no tubing identification decals of any fashion anywhere, so I will advance that it isn't a $350 Peugeot? No?

Suddenly, I am overwhelmed with ennui.

<le sigh>

The bike has a petty good dent in the top tube. Probably nothing structural.

The seat cluster/seat stay caps look British to me.

The (left) rear dropout looks like forged steel to me. But, it doesn't look Campy, and I'm having troubles placing it. It would be nice to know the bottom bracket and headset threading.

The price is a bit wacky.

Here you go Clifford -

Yellow machine is a 1970 American Eagle SemiPro. Brown machine is a 1971 Nishiki SemiPro. Silver/chrome example a 1972 Nishiki International.

Move the decimal one place to the left and I'd take it and he wouldn't even have to have it "well cleaned and ready for pick up".

It's so broken down that he couldn't post the (non-existent) pictures...and I guess why bother, if you are basically trying to get somebody to pay you for them hauling it to the landfill...

Which is a typical idea on CL these days for any junk.

Normally I don't figure overpriced bikes qualify for this thread as they are everywhere - but wow - "This bike is in great shape". $450
And no drive side photo, as usual.
Miele Vintage Road Bike | road | City of Toronto | Kijiji

I'm selling my Miele road bike since I've just bought a new bike.
This bike is in great shape as most of the bike was replaced last summer.
New tires, gears, chain, brakes, and handles. Could use a new seat. Has also been stored indoors all winter.
The frame is 52", I'm 5'6 and it's a great size for me.
