ALL CAPS, this baby is hot with a racing pedigree. Guaranteed to slay every other knockoff being ridden by a senior citizen on a town festival fun ride. The buyers question about the reserve price at the far bottom and the buyers payment schedule. Lots going on here including a single digit bid currently.

Fast uphills because of the low gear, "29in" wheels are faster down hills, and the geometry.
I take it you've never mountain biked? I'm seriously considering a single-speed when I build one.

"Vintage triathlon bike - $450" - look closely, it's a Murry/Huffy/FreeSpirit frame with tri bars and Campy brake calipers...

Mudboy...I saw that ad yesterday and was wondering what the frame was! I even contemplated sending an advice email that said something like "If you're going to ask for $450, people probably want to know more about the frame."

I've stopped emailing CL sellers with advice or to offer any help. My advice wasn't heeded and a couple of times I was harrassed by the seller.

I deleted the photo because if I saw that atrocity again I might have to poke my eyes out with a dull spoon. Dear heaven.

You've got to admit, though, that paint job covers the rust nicely.

Well, we're talking Houston here. Unless you go to Memorial Park, it will go the same speed as any other bike with a chainring and sprocket the same size. The nearest mountain is a couple of hours away, or a little over two days on this bike. Even then it's a glorfied hill. IE..The TX Hill Country,,,,BD

I was all set to send my $10.00 offer, with additional terms of $45 shipping. Then I came to the horrible realization that he might
go for it, and I would be forced to pay for the thing, ,,,,BD

Huh?

Fully Restored Vintage ROSS Women's 10-Speed - Daisys & White Walls - $250 (North Buffalo)

Date: 2010-04-22, 3:51PM EDT
Reply to: sale-amgmt-1705086450@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

Asking $250 to recoup my investment on parts. This bike is ready to ride out of my driveway, requiring no adjustments and no parts.

Please e-email (using the craigslist email link). I'm a web designer and respond very quickly to email. I'll take prospective buyers according to the order I get requests for the bike.

This is a fully restored vintage Ross Women's 10-Speed that I restored in Fall 2009 and finished with a chain and new rear derailleur this spring of 2010. The bike was found on my street on garbage day and I had always wanted to try and restore a vintage 10-speed so I did!
The bike was completely stripped of rust and gutted so that new paint and all new components could be added. This bike (besides the frame, crank, shift levers, and brake handles) is completely new.

The following components were purchased new and added to the bike (please visit the facebook album linked below to see all the parts I fixed and replaced):

* Giant brake cable housing
* Giant brake cables
* Giant shift cable housing
* Giant shift cables
* Replaced rear derailleur (used excellent condition, installed at Shickluna Bike Shop)
* New chain
* New rim tape
* Giant tire tubes
* New white wall tires
* Bontrager padded grip tape
* Replaced seat
* 2 layers of primer paint / 3 layers of color paint
* Custom vinyl daisy decals

Here is a link to more photo angles: https://www.luminusmedia.com/restoredbike/

Here is a link to the before photos and phases of the restore: https://www.facebook.com/album.php?ai...0&l=2a994d140d

Thanks for looking at my post.

Bicycle built for two...
(or more....seriously..need rot a stlong guy lift to vehicle-conveyance.)

Built in Chiung-Chong District, one of China's strictest regions, where is much curfew and labor to build best-strong bike
of heavy iron durableness.

Two wheels, with patent never flat-technology in them...solid iron.

Man seat is in front, where gears lowered to sedate effort.

Ten average walk-in pace later, as you travel rearward on bike is wife seat, with most effort
pedal intact to motiv unit.

Brinder keep her from look forward, so hubby can ogle ass all day wrong, best happy, eh?

Rear grapples keep her from falling off backward, even if swoon from efforts labor to pedal-drive both spouse ahead.

List for 250 us dollars.

You can take for 179.99, and warrantees hold wife of even 400+pounds avoirdupois wgt. US standard scale of measure fat weight.

thank you most times for reading this messaghe.

thank you.

I am humble, and you buy bicycle for healyth reason prease.

I got $260 for a powdercoated Huffy with a 3 pc conversion? I only wish I hadn't left the Cyclone derailleur on it. I didn't know any better at the time. I found out how nice they were a week or so later, but the buyer didn't want me to have a complete set after the fact.,,,,BD
