A friend has asked me to help him evaluate a bike that his wife is "forcing" him to get rid of. Out comes a very dusty Centurion, Ironman (Expert-Dave Scott). Subdued Red is the frame cover, frame is made of Tange had has a sticker "Made in Japan, assembled in America" Brakes are Shimano 600's as are the hubs, but the R/D is a Huret.
I can't seem to find it in one of the on line catalogs, can someone give me a guess as to the year and also let me know what components should be on the bike.

Weinmann 750s. NIB. They came to me mismatched, as 2 fronts
but I can toss in a spare (not perfect) rear bolt for conversion.
They are black labeled and come with 2 front (non-QR) hangers
(sorry, no rear) and 2 brake levers. The levers are QR, with the
push-in front, if you know what I mean. Not the ratty looking
swing arm type. No gum hoods. $30
Pair of Dia-Compe G side pull calipers. Short reach. $10
RSX short reach dual pivot brake calipers. Nutted.
Will toss in a set of generic carrier/pads from a set of
Tektros. $25
Nashbar branded Aero brake levers. NIB. These look like
Dia-Compe knock offs. Small hand platform. Extra set

These are DVDs produced by France 2/3 television. They have exclusive rights to the live TV of the races. All are between 60 and 90 minutes, except for the 2003 centenary issue which is a 2 DVD set of 3H40M. It includes historical content, as well as the 2003 race itself
All DVDs are in French, Region 2, and PAL. Most modern DVD players can handle that, but you should check to see on yours.
I will sell all but the 2003 edition for $20 each. The 2003 edition is $40. Or I will sell the entire set for $250.

This is the hard to come by orange all original schwinn Le Touy III . This is a 56cm frame with about a 32 inch standover.This bike is in almost mint condition. There are a few minor scuffs and scratches that come with a bike this age. Over all the paint is in great condition. The bike has been completely taken apart and cleaned. The ball bearings in the headset and bottum braked have benn cleaned and repacked with the the good green stuff from park tools. The crank and chain rings are cleaned and lubed and show almost know wear. The shimano derailers marked Le tour are in fantastic shape, I believe from the looks and performance that these are schwinn branded shimano 600. The wienmen center pull brakes are clean and have the old sachool salmon brake pads in viry nice shape. Coolstop owns the rights to the salmon pads now and thay cost some. Schwinn aproved hubs laced to araya rims are clean and round and roll very nice with no issues. NEW tires, New cables, New z chain, New handlebar wrap. This bike showed no signs of ever having rust on it. you can still see the clean overspray from the paint in the tubes. Every thing is done right on this bike. 100% restored and ready to ride.

The seller told me she was looking for $600...my bike budget's $450 right now and between the dent and the brifter to DT modification, I think $600 is high. I guess ultimately, her preference is a trade and a buyer will pay what he she will pay for it. But if I'm the buyer, it's $450. Reasonable?

You can still get the handel gear fixed. There is a small ding on the top tube I bought it that way and it hasent changed. I bought it and figured out that the roads arent for me so I am looking to trade for a equal value and quality mountain bike. I cant remember the exact year of the bike but it's newer than a 2005
