I'd love that bike - one size too big but I bet I could make it fit. Only a 90 minute drive away, but I have no car . . .

The bike is local here. I have what I think is the same off-roadish model, a bit older and came from the factory with Command shifters.
Pricing needs major adjustment
The extra bosses are for a carrying strap.

(I wanted to post this in "Wacky..." but my feline advisers disagreed, so here it is. Boldface, (is there a "glow in the dark" font?), emphasis added by someone here. It's been a long week which went by altogether too quickly.) (Oh, and come on, $1200, glow in the dark finish, and no DS photos?)

I have that exact frame set. After several years of ownership, I could no longer get comfortable on it. It would go cheaply, with local pickup. Too big for any of the locals.

That Mk. II is in glorious condition. I've never paid much attention to that particular model, always preferring the more classically designed base model Super Courses, but I think I just got a new perspective... Lovely!

Yeah - I'd say that was the best year, in terms of frame, paint, and components. Looks like a forged drop, rather than the stamped Zeus that some 70's mid-range Raleighs got.

The Technium process as developed by Raleigh bonds dissimilar metals. The most common configuration - like this one - is aluminum frame tubes bonded to cromoly lugs, but there were all kinds of variants. These frames were made in the Kent, WA plant so Raleigh engineers could benefit from Boeing's experience in this area.
