Oh yeah, I know all about Woody's Fenders. I have them on my French Bike, just the rear wheel, what they call "Chopped Chort", and on my Farmer's Market / Grocery Getter here:

They work well, are reasonably light, and are a great conversation starter. Yeah, I would like to talk to the guy who built that RGP - we probably have a lot in common. I don't build bikes to sell (yet?), but if I did, I would probably use the exact same formula.

Is that the DeRosa listed in CO for a long time. What is wrong with it? If not that is cheap, for a SR equipped DeRosa.

Well, for one, there's only that single photo. For another, no parts breakdown. That seatpost is much too long to be SR, and the brake hoods are ill-fitting replacements.

Impossible to tell condition of frame/components from that pic. I'd be waiting for more pics/info before I wasted any time. Perhaps others are feeling the same.

Bar wrap is falling off. Considering it's being sold by a bike shop, you'll think they would sharpen it up a bit.

Well, it's not carbon fiber, but you could do worse than 853.

It was a burgundy one in Colorado Springs, I posted about it a couple of months ago:

I've got two Lemond's. One is a beat up Poprad with 853 and it is the bee's knees. I'd be all over this if I was local. Looks immaculate.

Someone posted a bike in NJ with the gargantuan knob shifters bike that was at a high price, say in the $500 area, that was some time ago. Maybe that was a Golden Arrow too?

Here is a bike with the big knobs at only $100 on the Fresno CL, Tsunoda, Golden Arrow head badge:

Mens 27 inch Racing Bike
Price is firm, well below average price. Golden Arrow Make. Frame is in good condition, tires and tubes are new. Rides great! Please call or text
More photos at link. A little tin foil for the rust may be needed, nothing looking too serious.

Heh. I swapped recently for the model just below: https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-vi...n-turismo.html

That one is nice, but RD replaced. Sure, better dropouts, great paint, but ... $600 seems optimistic to me. $400 and the original RD and I'd buy it. Mine's a really damn nice ride.

This is Weird...

I do a search of our local CL everyday with "Raleigh, 531" as parameters. I can't buy one at the moment, but I always have to look - you know how it is. Anyway, for weeks now there have been between six and eight ads up there, from Lentons to Internationals to Comp GS (whatever that is) - but today I ran the search, and they were all GONE!

Does that happen a lot where you folks are? Does somebody just swoop in and buy up all the bikes of a certain make, vintage, or style? Or is it aliens?

hey thanks, im pretty happy about it. the cat was super nice about the whole thing.. gave me a build history on the bike. what he paid for frame set. delt with every little stupid question i could think of with class and patience.. this guy was more accomidating then any custom frame builder or bike shop i have been to.. he pretty much sold me the frame set for what he paid, and threw in the ultegra 10, and dd swiss wheelset well evey thing on the bike for free. i did throw him 10 buc to buy him beer.. sent my last payment today.. $100 80s (?) RGP. Nothing amazing, I see kickstands and run these days, but looks rideable, original (+30yr old tires):
