OK, let me do some bookkeeping. I haven't started keeping records. For all I know, I'm already net positive.

Just stumbled on this—looks in decent condition, although it needs a tire and some handlebar tape and therefore who knows what else....
But if you're local and can pick it up, decent deal.

Nice and shiny!

https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/bik/1402888089.html

This is a fully chromed Schwinn Voyageur 11.8 from 1981 (based on headbadge serial #), in excellent condition. Measurements are 56cm CTC DT and ST. Sugino Super Maxy Cranks and Shimano Altus FD/RD. Single pivot caliper brakes. Here's the original catalog page: https://www.trfindley.com/flschwinn_1...0/1981_08.html

What you see pictured is what is for sale. The bike is essentially complete except for wheels/tires and pedals. The chrome is in great shape, and the bike is very shiny - with a little cleanup and waxing it would be blinding!
The brakes are for 27" wheels, but I can provide brakes for conversion to 700c for additional cost (either Tektro 556 or Weinmann/Dia Comp long reach centerpulls - you will need cable hangers for the centerpulls).

Aside from the fenders, and the red brake pads I think this bike has all original parts and would be of interest to collectors or vintage bike enthusiasts.

Here's the photoset with hires photos. https://www.flickr.com/photos/9552659...7622497303884/

1. Modolo brakes....didnt work when dry which means they're not going to work wet.
2. Shimano STX rear derailleur. A mtn. bike derailleur on a road bike?
3. Shift levers....appear to be some type of STI. the model and condition could make it or break it for the bike.
4. Seat height. Whenever I see a seatpost inserted that far it leads me to question the owners bike-ness. A bike aficionado would never have a seat that low.

It has alot going on that isnt quite right.

If we're talking about the silver 736 and it has the original equipment, I believe it would have a Cinelli stem and Giro D'Italia bars, Superbe brakes, levers, shifters, crank and front and rear d's. Doesn't have the Superbe pedals. Hubs would be Campy with Rigida red label rims. Fwiw.

’86 TVT carbon bonded frameset - 49cm - $125 (Budd Lake, NJ)

Date: 2009-10-02, 9:14PM EDT
Reply to: sale-zuzv7-1403785145@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

Offered for sale is this very early carbon bonded frame with aluminum lugs. The frameset is branded an Eclipse Carbon 7, but was built by TVT, the same French company that build carbon frames for LeMond to ride in the ’89 and ’90 TdF.

This frame probably saw fewer than a few hundred miles, as evidenced by the frame condition itself and the original Dura Ace components which are in near pristine condition. There are some very small spots that show some delamination, but none look serious. There are also a few scratches and scuffs, shown in the photos below.

Please note, this frame DOES NOT come with the headset pictured below. The sale includes the frame and aluminum Vitus fork only.

I do have the original Dura Ace AX seatpost for sale separately if interested.

Frame specs:

Seat tube: 49 cm ctc
Top tube: 53 cm ctc
Dropout spacing: 126 mm
Seatpost: 25.0 mm
BB: standard English thread, 68mm
Headtube: 1” inside diameter 30.2 mm
Fork: 1” English thread, 26.4 crown race

He added that info. Seems he's got a guardian angel! The cranks do look like they could be first generation Superbe. Shifters look right too. Can't really ID the brakes, though they do look nicer than Dia-Compe 400s. Stem does look like it could be a 1A and the bars look the right shape to be 64s. So someone probably has a very nice bike for $200!

EDIT: Or maybe not. It's $220 now!

Very nice retro-modern build on a Guerciotti SLX frame, 56cm. I'd definitely bump my budget up for this one if I were looking for an A rider - I don't think this could built for $550.
