Nice looking bike, seems like a high price considering the time of year:

[h=2]1981 Raleigh Professional - Campagnolo Record - $1200 (Hope, Idaho)[/h]

I am selling my vintage 1981 Blue Raleigh Professional with a Reynolds 531 double-butted lugged frame made by Carlton that is in excellent condition. I am the original owner; the bike has been ridden approxmately 500 miles. This classic Raleigh has the following measurements: seat tube-24 in. or 61 cm. with standover height of 33 3/4 in. It has all original parts and a full Campagnolo Nuevo Record set that includes the headset, seatpost, cable housing clamps, brakes and brake levers, front/rear derailleurs, bottom bracket, crank and chainrings, hubs, quick releases, and pedals. The saddle is a classic black Brooks Professional. The bike is a 12-speed: the front two chainrings are 51/42 and the spread on the rear freewheel is 13/14/16/18/21/24. Accessories are a black Jim Blackburn water bottle holder and the original Silca hand pump (with Campagnolo presta valve head). Original decals: All Campagnolo Parts, Made In England, and Reynolds 531. I've always stored the bike indoors; it is totally rideable or can be shown as a collection piece.

If timing were better, I might make a play for this. As it stands, I have too many projects, and even a similar bike. Still - how often do you have the chance to get a frame from one of the true luminaries?

[TD]This is a vintage 1982 fully loaded touring frameset from Peter Weigle. Lots of paint issues as detailed in the pictures, needs a respray, great restoration project. Frame is straight and true. And heavy. This is not a lightweight cruiser. Includes all of the normal add ons for loaded touring including rack and fender mounts in front and back (rack mounts on the outside of the fork blades are a nice touch), pump peg, as well as a third set of water bottle bosses on the bottom of the down tube (one of the pictures shows a side view). By my measurement,the frame is 56.5 cm ctc seat tube, 56.5 cm ctc top tube, 14.2 cm ht, rear dropouts are spaced at 126 mm. Takes a 27.0 mm seat post (not 27.2). Includes aused Specialized headset, Shimano dropouts up front and Suntour dropouts in the rear.

Shipping to Continental US will be $80, I’ll refund any unused portion, not looking to make a profit on shipping. The frame will be packed in bubble wrap and boxed. Frame will be insured for the full sale amount with signature required upon delivery. Please ask any questions before bidding. Good bidding!

Seems like a cool bike but what is the point of titanium plating steel? I've never heard of such a thing before.

And that's what makes the bike unique and possibly a very good candidate for a collector. By the way, they titanium coat steel drill bits, so it's nothing new in that respect, just new to a frame that probably had no real benefit except maybe anti rust and a unique coloring of it that won't fade, peel, or chip.

I've never heard of this bike before so I have no idea what it is all about, but the price doesn't seem out of line to me.

It seems to be from the same people that did Centurion/Diamondback. Here is a website. Same manufacturer did the road bikes.

[h=2]Vintage Zeus Road Bike - $785 (Seacoast NH)[/h]

Mid 70's Zeus bike. I purchased this very lightly used from a bike shop owner in Massachusetts in the mid 70's. He got it in the shop for his son who used it very little.

Very nice frame built with Reynolds 531 butted main tubes. Fork is the very highly regarded and quite rare Zeus 2000 series. Dropouts are lovely Zeus dropouts and truly nice. Original red paint, chrome, decals and badging in mostly very nice condition. Bike is marked "Productti Speciali Campagnolo."

Components include very nice Zeus shift levers and clamps. Nice Zeus crank set and bottom bracket. Universal model 61 center pull brakes with original pads. Lovely fluted Zeus seat tube. Stem is labeled with what looks to be "Satri" -- a nice aluminum quill stem very similar in look and feel to Cinelli and nice aluminum handlebars with some very old cloth tape and plugs. Nice Zeus Alfa hubs and Akront Rims.

Rare functioning Zeus pump with presta valve (with pump clamp on seat tube). Campagnolo Nuovo Gran Sport rear and Suntour Superbe front derailleurs. I put the Suntour on around 77/78 when the Superbe line first came out -- very, very nice underrated derailleur line. Tires are the old tubular "sew-ups." One of the mounted tires (not original) holds air, one (perhaps original?) does not. I have an unmounted relatively new never used sew-up I will include. Pedals are Notario quill style with Christophe toe clips and straps. The pedals are a bit rough but they are decent pedals, spin freely and fully functional.

Overall, I think it is in very nice condition, especially for the vintage. I am not a pro bike guy or a collector. There is some rust on the bike -- I would consider it slight or minor -- but look at the photos and make your own decision. Local purchase and pick up preferred to ensure total satisfaction.

Get your furlough specials. That saddle looks like it'd clean up nice. Don't know much about the bike, but it looks pretty sweet with those lugs. What is an easy way to post the images from a CL ad in here without having to download and re-upload?

I talked with the seller. He doesn't know much about bikes, but he texted me a photo.
It looks like a 52cm San Remo in pearlescent white. It's later than '84 for sure, but it's tough to make out in the photo.
Cantilever brakes, long chainstays --- either a touring bike or an early CX.
At that price point, if I was in the market for a 52, I'd probably talk him down to $200 and get a nice bike.

Vintage bianchi - $250 (Norwood)
1983-84 bianchi randonnuer. It's in very good condition. Minimal rust. Gears work great. Center pull brakes. Quick release wheels. The tires are a little dry but they hold air.

[h=2]Cycle D'or 1986 Vitus Road Bike - $250 (Durham/Chapel Hill )[/h]
If you are a French Cycle D'Or road bike fan, this 1986 stick built bicycle by Rene and Michel Chenu in Antibes, France, is a great find. Rene rode for the French Team in the day and he helped found the Olympic Cyclo Club in Antibes in 1967. In 1970, his friend, Jacques Anquetil became the sponsor of the club. Rene opened a bike shop in Antibes with his son Michel Chenu and Renee built this bike in 1986.

Here is a description of the bike.

58cm Vitus frame
Mavic hubs and Mavic GP4 wheels (sew up tires)
Mavic Stem
Shimano 600 indexed shifters and derailleur set
(I also have the Campi shifters and derailleur and cog set that was original with the bike)
Dia Compe brakes
(I also have the Modolo brake set original with the bike)
