Bianchi Road Bike - $375 (Boston / NEU area)

Date: 2010-06-02, 1:34PM EDT
Reply to: sale-nbyvd-1771602909@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

My friend gave this bike to me; however the frame is too big for me.

This bike is a better fit for someone 5'3-5'9. It's in good condition and the brakes work just fine. The pictures aren't that clear, but there are 2 bottle cages included, that matches the color of the handlebars.

I don't know too much about bikes, so I'm sorry if I can't answer some of your questions. Hopefully, the pictures will help. Also, if you would like to checkout the bike in person, that's not a problem with me.

The price is negotiable. Cash only. No scams please!

Thank you for your interest!

road bike: specialized sirrus frame - $250 (east cambridge)

Date: 2010-06-02, 10:17AM EDT
Reply to: sale-jf4ea-1771205610@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

hello.

i am selling my men's road bike. it is quite stylish. the frame is a specialized sirrus frame from the 1980s with pink decals. the gears and shifters are shimano.

there is a small dent on the right side of the top bar. it is sealed with epoxy and there is no rust. the front tire is quite bald and should probably be replaced. the bicycle is in a good, lightly used condition otherwise. the frame is suitable for people from about 5'7" to 5'11". i am 6'0" and the length of the frame is a tiny bit too short for me.

i am asking for $250 OBO. i have been told that the frame alone is worth $500 so this is a considerable deal. i also just replaced the back tire. i have a lock (in the picture) that can be included if you need one. this bike is good for short city rides and also longer more serious rides.

please email me if you're interested or would like to test ride the bicycle. i am in the east cambridge area.

NOTE that the bicycle is available for sale now but i can't let you have it until june 9 as i am using it still to get around the city! you can acquire it then after i graduate from college.

Vintage Trek 560 Racing Series 10 Speed - $250 (West Roxbury)

Date: 2010-06-01, 8:15PM EDT
Reply to: sale-xdexn-1770546719@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

Your chance to own a piece of history.

This is an amazing Trek 560 (circa 1984) with black and red accents. Pro level bike way back when Trek was still hand-building with steel in Wisconsin (Made in America). Black finish is in great shape considering it's +25 years old. I did the bar tape, brake pads, tires (Bontrager Racing tires) & tubes last year. This bike DOES need a rear tube! Here's a link to the original Trek Racing Catalog from 1984. The 560 is located on page 6:

https://www.vintage-trek.com/TrekBrochure1984Racing.htm

Here are some more specs:

Frame size (my measurements): 22.5" from crank to top of seat tube. 23.5" top tube (would be ideal from someone 5'6"-5'10")

Reynolds 501 double butted tubbing (super light and very fast!)

Black Dia Compe AC500 brakes mated to AC250G levers

Beautiful (and mean looking!) French Belleri bars

SunTour MII front and read derailleurs and DT shift levers

Mallard hubs laced to Matrix Strada black rims

Email me with questions. Price is $250 or best offer. Cash & pick-up only. Located in West Roxbury near Center St.

I’ve got a box of old used Campagnolo parts, all parts are either Record or Super Record from the 80’s and 90’s. All have italian threads. I need to sell this stuff as a lot. Here’s a list:

4 – Headsets
1 – Brakeset with calipers and white hoods.
(I will include an extra caliper or two)
1 – set of quill pedals, chrome, w/chrome toe clips.
1 – set of SR pedals, black alloy, w/Cinelli alloy toe clips & old leather straps..
1 – set alloy 36 hole high-flange hubs.
1 – 70mm newer sealed bearing Bottom Bracket.
1 – 70mm older loose bearing Bottom Bracket.
1 – early 90’s Record rear derailleur (pre-ergo).
1 – Record crankset 39x52.
1 – Cinelli quill stem 100mm
1or 2 – sets older record friction shift levers (clip-on).
2 - zip-lock bags of Campy brake pads.

$200 or B/O. If you could use this stuff, email, or call me @ (781) 588-2968.

Motobecane - $200
Date: 2010-06-02, 11:05AM PDT
Reply to: sale-q7gkh-1771679062@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

1975 Motobecane Super Mirage 62cm. Barn find, in excellent condition for its age. Shifts and brakes like new, could use new tires though. This was probably ridden less than 20 miles its whole life(look at the rear cluster). All original components, all I did was wipe off the dust and re-pack the hubs and bottom bracket. Pictures say a thousand words so I'll let them start talking. Email me a phone number if you're interested.

Never heard of a "unique 'splatter' paint scheme on a mid-70's Special Road Racer (or any other mid-'70s bike). Did I miss something? Late '80s/early '90s MTB thing? I paid a "little" less (OK...a lot less) than what he's asking for my latest SRR, but it came with some serious upgrades. It's a great bike, but the frame is Hi-Ten...$595?

Vintage racer. Hard to believe but this bike was never ridden indoors or
outdoors. All professional parts including Sun Tour Aero derailleur. Will need new rubber. Always carefully covered, dust and corrosion free. Made in Japan not Taiwan or China. Beautiful bike for serious rider at bargain price(price not negotiable). Unique "splatter" paint scheme. E-mail me for additional info.

I had not heard of that either and didn't see it in the classic fuji S10-S pages. Since there aren't any pictures, I wonder if the splatter is even throughout, including inside of forks, etc., or only on a certain area, i.e., post-purchase splatter.

Nice Bridgestone MB-1 on ebay from Blacksburg VA area. I know the owner (Dave Abraham) and have actually seen the bike. I believe Dave will be up at the Cirque swap meet on Sunday (June 6) so there is some flexibility on a delivery up there I would think.

Schwinn Peloton in 51CM. 853 Frame and a mix of Dura-Ace and Ultegra. Looks like the original Kinesis Aluminum fork was replaced with some kind of carbon fork. Cane Creek wheels.

I have the 60CM version of this bike and it's a sweet, sweet ride.

Bike fits rider 6"1" to 6'3".
This bike comes with top of the line components:
brake calipers are the unique Campagnolo Delta Brakes,
all the rest is Dura Ace: such as headset, crankset, hubs, front derailleur, rear derailleur, seat post, brake levers.
Look Carbon pedals, 3ttt stem.
Gear combination: 52/39 and cassette: 14, 15, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24
Tires, Cassette, and cables were recently replaced and bike has been recently tuned up. Bottles cages are new.
Frame is built with Colombus SPX tubeset.
A bit of history:
I am the first and only owner and I've taken well care of it, never crashed it, but it shows the regular signs of wear.
This bike was custom made for me by a very proud craftsman in Switzerland, who built bikes for some of Switzerland's professionals and elite riders at the time. This is a team bike dedicated to Acasio Da Silva, a professional rider in the club a used to be in.
This is a great bike for someone who appreciates the quality of these great components. With the proper care, this bike will still last a long time.
E-mail me for additional pictures.
Include Phone # for quick turn around

Good frame? Yes. Decent deal? Depends.

Here is a link to the catalog page for this bike. https://3.bp.blogspot.com/_whtVpXkKwl...0-h/img112.jpg

While it is nearer the bottom of Miyata's line for 1986, Miyata's Triple Butted Chro Moly frames are wonderful. Miyata enjoy a great reputation among members of this forum. $225 is at the high end for a bike with this level of components.

But man, that sure is one pretty bike and it looks like the seller did a wonderful job refurbishing that one.
