I want first generation. But I know I'll have to dip into second generation if I want every little bit to be superbe.

The fork does look to be a bit bent back. Does that commonly screw up the headset as well?

Not sure, but I'll probably find out!

jgedwa 10-07-09 07:10 PM

I will be the very large dufusy looking guy. Probably carrying around some rims I really should not have bought.

I'll keep an eye out for ya. What kind of rims will you be
carrying ? ;)

Johnnybee.

Johnnybee.

Oh something shiny and useless, no doubt.

I will probably be easy to spot: I am 6'5", have closely cropped hair, probably a couple of days' stubble, and glasses.

Poguemahone 10-07-09 09:34 PM

I am a trifle over six feet with greying nappy curly hair, wearing a VAR tools tshirt.

JunkYardBike 10-07-09 10:04 PM

That's me in the middle with the dark blue shirt. Craven is on the far right (unless he doesn't want his image posted here, then it's not him). I'll be wearing whatever clean clothes I can find.

jebensch 10-07-09 10:18 PM

I'll probably wear a bandana like in my profile pic. Also easy to spot at 6'3" and skinny as a post. I will be carrying a Bob Jackson, Gazelle, Merckx and Tommasini - all of which I will have found for murderously cheap prices before the gates open, right?.....right?

Ha! Keep dreaming. The ebay effect makes bargains pretty rare, even (especially) at these events. Just visit my table to see it in action.

 I'll look just as goofy (last dude on the left) except in a tan version of that hat and with a beard.

...and carrying a '71 Paramount and a '72 International which I will have got in a 2 for 1 deal within minutes of showing up ;) (amirite?)

No, what you want is a '73 International, the one with the cool lugs.

noglider 10-08-09 09:18 AM

Who's the guy in the light blue shirt with the white stripe?

rhm 10-08-09 09:22 AM

c'est moi.

...heads to the '73 Catalog

hm.....cappella or Nervex...choices. ;)

noglider 10-08-09 09:30 AM

Seriously, guys, who is selling an International frame? And what size(s)?

Well, I sure wouldn't mind having the choice, but if I did, I wouldn't hesitate in grabbing the former. Nervex is nice and all, but so common that you even see imitations on cheaper frames. And you already have 'em on your Super Course, don't you?

Seriously? Tom, this is the internet! These swampeet things always have more Capella-lugged 531 frames in my size than I can fit in the wagon, not to mention Bates and Hetchins up the wazoo. But then, as I reach for my wallet, my alarm clock rings.

I actually am hoping to meet a few BF people, so I suppose I will post a picture too (taken seconds ago).

And as a side benefit, everyone gets to see a glimpse of the very shy Raleigh Technium 400 with 3 spd hub and flat bars. Very rare and desireable.

Well, I've got a 60cm Japanese built International, but it's too big for you. I don't think I'll have it stripped in time for T-Town.

Cool build, especially with the Deep Vs(?)

That reminds me, I also have a small Technium bonded frame hiding somewhere in my basement.

I have this one. I won't be making the swap (again!) as I have to work. It is a 22".

Zaphod Beeblebrox 10-08-09 11:44 AM

...actually 60 is ok for me with some geometries (like my Miyata)....I only really care about the Top Tube length being between 22 and 22.5"

but I'm picky and looking for a Carlton Raleigh.

Like that one^^^ only an inch bigger!

Weinmann DP-18's actually. Sort of the poor hipsters equivalent to Deep Vee's from Velocity.

A couple of years ago NYCBikes in Brooklyn was selling cheap odd-ball IGH wheelsets for cheap. All with loud colored rims. I got blue and red sets with 3spd, and a yellow set with a Nexus 7. So, anytime you see a picture of a bike of mine with fugly rims, that is why.

Citoyen du Monde 10-08-09 12:12 PM

I too will be there. I'll have a set of Campagnolo belt buckles for sale plus a Team Miyata frame....

noglider 10-08-09 01:59 PM

fender1, 22" is my size! But I can't justify buying it. Unless I can think of a way... hmm.
