Hi Folks,
Well i had a few wines last nite and clicked on
this, lovely bike.

for the life of me though i can't find it referenced in this catalogue list anywhere

It would appear to be a higher end bike but i can't find much info on the roadwinner models.

can anyone shed any light? I know this seller as i've bought another bike off him previously and he normally only sells high end bikes.

any help would be much appreciated.

Not sure how "high end" it is, based on the golden arrow (= 105) components. On the other hand, this is a pristine example

thanks for that, 105 is ok for me

One thing i noticed was the placement of the downtube shifters, on top of the tube rather than on the sides. On the top of the tube was consistant with the pro and team "miyata" models in the catalogues above. but these catalogues didn't have "koga miyata" though.

If I understand it correctly Koga is a Dutch company/builder and they get the framesets from Miyata. The finished bikes are not made or sold by Miyata, which is why they would not appear in the catalogs. They are apparently well regarded in Europe and a few have made it to the US--maybe Australia too? I believe they are still being made and possibly even imported on a more regular basis to the US. Recently on US eBay someone had one (or more) top of the line Koga Miyatas from sometime later than this bike (early 90s) which were NOS, in original boxes. Top of the line asking price too IIRC.

It is a Koga, so you will find it in a Koga catalogue. They are on their site. Search probably somewhere around 1984. The bike looks very alike the FullPro of the same year, but it fits lower in the line up. Still a neat bike. Koga only did higher end bikes.
