Anyone know what kind of frame this is?

Hi --

So I got this frame a while ago from a friend, and I love it, maybe I'm asking the wrong people, but no one seems to know who made it? Local bike shop owners, friends, the internet, etc. Also painted over the serial number a while back, so all I can make out now is that it starts with an 'N'...

Not that it's really that important, just wondering if anyone recognizes the emblem right off the bat?

If any additional info is needed let me know....thanks!

Close ups of the lugs and rear dropouts? Also where on the bike is the serial number located?

That rear brake bridge is very Centurionesque. I wasn't aware other builders used that curved style like that?,,,,BD

That chrome fork looks to me to be a Pyramid. Look under that tape for any damage to the tubing.

This Paletti has top tube cable guides. It also has brazed on shift lever mounts, like the OP's bike, but unlike the Centurion Le Mans. If it is a Centurion, then it's a higher end model (no eyelets on the dropouts, braze on for the shift levers, etc)

Just posting for the sake of discussion....

+1 on not the original fork. Definitely worth a look under the tape, but hopefully it's just to prevent paint damage from the bar and brake caliper.

bbattle and Mos6502 those are beautiful bikes. 6502 has something to do with aviation?

I agree that it has very "Centurion" looking details, is the BB shell Italian threading or BSC? I think that shell has "Hitachi" looking milling, if you scrape away the paint there may be a Hitachi logo cast into the shell. Dropouts look JP, and they seem to have a brand stamped on them: what brand?
Could be another make but out of the same factory that made frames for Centurion, looks pretty nice, deserves a better looking fork.

it was an early microprocessor

I would be surprised if the tape was hiding the evidence of a front end collision because it is so far down the tubes. But you never know given the fork.

Bikes: Several, mostly not name brands.

The fork looks like a replacement. Otherwise, the frame looks very nice. What threading is the BB shell? The shell itself looks like a "Roto" which was Italian made but available in English thread. Here's a Roto shell on my wife's Bumby:

Looks both "like" and "unlike" the Roto: the downtube socket is different, and the milled ovals are different, too.
Always good to learn about another brand and see pics, though, so thanks!
