Show us your Technomics
I would really love to see some pictures of road bikes using Nitto Technomics tall stem to raise up handlebars.
I have a Cinelli 130 mm stem and I need something taller and with less reach, so I was thinking about a 50mm reach Technomics stem with my Cinelli bars or something even taller and more swept back. At 52 I don't want to lean that far over.

Which taller Nitto are you interested in? The Cinelli quill height is about 7 cm above the insertion mark, the Technomic Deluxe is about 11 cm, and the Technomic is a huge 18 cm. If you only need to go up a centimeter or so, hmmmm, this is not the solution for you. Plus, a reach change from 130 mm to 50 mm is huge. Are you sure you need such drastic changes?
On small frames (53 c-c or less) the Technomic definitely creates a "giraffe effect," where the exposed length of quill is much longer than the head tube is. It's not so bad with the Technomic Deluxe, however. I have that on a few bikes in the 52/53 c-c size range. Will work on pics.

do you mean like this one? I agree with Road Fan these look awful on real small frames. I don't think they made a 26.4 clamp model either.

I would try some stems out. When you're moving in two dimensions (up/down, back/forward), fit can be tricky. You may not need such a drastic reduction in reach after you move the bars that far up

I am not all comfortable leaning over that far anymore. I want to sit more upright and cruise easily, albeit slowly. I was thinking of the regular taller technomic. I am not sure though. That is why I would like to see what others have done. There may be some other older riders who feel the same way.
I now realize that I will have to lose the Cinelli Campione Del Mundo 26.4 mm handlebars. They will only fit a Cinelli stem. A 25.4mm stem will give me more options.
I have even thought about going with the upright swept back English 3 speed style handlebar.
My bike is a 53mm Davidson Impulse.

I'm a sucker for putting 3spd bars on VLWs. I just fixed up a 63cm RB3 for a friend of my wife with a Wald touring bar. $15 at any bike shop, gives you 2 or 3 inches of rise with probably 15 degrees of sweep. Plus they'll accept bar-end shifters.

Maybe it's just me, but why not go with a riser bar, like the Nitto Dirt Drop or some such? You'll get the same reach, but it'll raise the bars up, and you won't be showing much stem anyway.

I love that trek. And I love those Avocet touring saddles, but the one I have has come loose from the rails. Not dangerously so, but it moves under "load."

I like the Touring version, too. However, that's the same Avocet in both those photos! I moved it from the Trek, replacing it with a Brooks. Then I sold it with the Centurion. In retrospect, I probably should have kept it...

Actually a 26.0 bar will give you the most options in handlebar, because you can use any 26.0 or any 25.4, using Nitto's shims.

One giraffe, coming up. I rode this 1983 Grand Prix with it's original shorter stem until the year I turned 50. Then realized I had gradually begun avoiding the hoods and drops on the bars because of the reach. Got the long Nitto Technomic stem and I now use all bar positions again, making a very comfortable cross-campus commuter.

Dang, those stems look so long and tall.....
Not a Technomic stem on my bike, but I have to wonder why I can never go much further "north" with my stem height than this since I started biking in the 80's:

on my bikes
Are my arms or legs too long or something??
....or am I unconciously a glutton for punishment??

Bring on the giraffes!
DMNHCAGrand Prix, That is what I am talking about.
RoadFan, I think I want the bar level to be about like DMNHCAGrand Prix's bike but perhaps with a shorter reach. I think you are right about 26mm bars being more versatile.
Beauty is in the eye of the beerholder. The low short stem drops may look better than the Technomics, but then again you young flatbellies may look better than I do. I think whatever will help keep us older folks out there bicycling is good.
Lets see some more.
