As someone in the field of architecture, I have to fervently disagree with any statement saying delta brakes are even remotely close to art deco. Smoothed off surfaces are not what defined the era. Much of what was done in that era was defined by the extreme linear properties found in designs. The delta brakes lack any such properties.

I'm certain I'm in a small, small group who think they're rather hideous. Just from a stand point of aesthetics, I'd take a set of AX brakes over them any day of the week.

late 80's suntour superbe and the first round of c-record (mid 80's?) give nuovo and super record a run for their money, i think, anyhow.
