I had such an excellent experience with Southpaw Boston on this thread that I am going to try this again. I'm having to make some tough decisions about what to keep and what to drop from the collection and the bike I've held on to for the the longest is now on the block. I purchased this Fuji 25th Anniversary Limited Edition "mountain bike" (looks a bit more like a hybrid to me, but who wants to argue with the marketing speak?) brand new in 1995. I've ridden it hard and taken care of it as I do all my rides. It was even stolen for about a year by some little turdwad, but amazingly I got it back with a few new scratches and a spot of paint or something along the top tube. (Never got my panniers or rack back, the little rat.) I use it for around town, to-the-store riding, as well as for long-days-in-the-saddle gravel road and trail rides on the KATY. I call it my "beater" bike, but it's really anything but a beater when it comes right down to it!


Basic specs:
22" frame
Frame/fork for frame/fork BUT will consider including other components in trade - the cantis, hubs, skewers, brake handles, bar ends, etc. are all a special matched color set (chromized violet, which is pretty hip in a funky 90's sort of way). I will also include the headset and bottom bracket in the trade.
Cromoloy double butted frame tubes
4130 Cromoly fork
Frame in very good condition + the aforementioned chips and spatter.
Overall, it rides a little small for me - I prefer a 23" frame, or a 58 - 60 cm.

So, for a trade I'm looking for something to build up in the style of a British path racer. I'd like to get a 50's or 60's era Raleigh, or similar, in (of course) about a 58 or 60 cm frame size. I've been in communication with a couple of C&V forum members through the ISO thread also, just in the interests of full disclosure.

basically it is near perfect condition, paint is super smooth and glossy, like a brand new car

only flaws are some tire rub on 1 chain stay, and a few tiny chips pictured less than 1/8" in width (1 on bottom of top tube from pump, 1 on edge of lug on head tube, 1 on side of seat tube from clamp on derailleur)

threads are perfect everywhere

no rust to speak of except tiny spots of surface rust on tire rub mark

CROMOR decal is 100% perfect

I know this is the original paint/decal as i bought the bike from the original owner

Miele Latina in 60cm by 58.5cm ctc some chrome wear and touch up's but in real nice shape with a unique dark orange with red splatter paint job and Columbus SP. I would trade for something in a 55cm/55cm preferably gaudy and Italian

Okay, I'll play, but I may be more picky than the spirit of this thread warrants.

Have: 61.5 ST x 59 TT ctc, custom built frameset, probably Columbus tubing (helical ridges in steerer), fully chromed under paint I believe, Campagnolo dropouts and fork ends. Very nice attention to detail. Lots of patina, chrome on chainstay is corroded, and there's a dent under the downtube (which I missed when I bought it). 6.22 lbs with headset (Nylon cup Stronglight which, unfortunately, should probably be replaced).

Wanted: Something equal in quality and mystery. Something different and interesting, but preferably a road bike frameset with room for fat tires. Or maybe some other oddball frameset. Surprise me! 59 ST x 58 TT ctc

For trade is the monsterous 63.5 cm Schwinn Voyager...(at least I believe it's a Voyager) Slack geometry and some sticker glue from the top tube are all I have to go on. Around a '84?? Double butted main tubes and 4130 stays. You'll have to paint it. Looking for something a lot smaller...54cm. and not High ten. Thanks.
