Okay, I've had this frame listed in the frame-swap database for a few weeks, but I thought I'd post here as well, in case many of you aren't checking the database:

I have a circa 1984 Japanese-built Bianchi San Remo sport-touring bike, 57cm ST c-c, 57cm TT c-c



Full Ishiwata DB tubing throughout with the usual sport-touring braze-ons for the era, 27" wheels, Sakae half-step + granny triple, original touring rack, and almost complete Shimano 105 golden arrow group (RD was replaced).

Will trade as complete bike or frameset only for similar sport-touring bike or frameset, one size smaller (looking for 55-56 cm ST c-c).

hi. looking to swap out this frame for a 51/52cm frame. preferrably all red and something light!

its a mid 80s univega arrow speed. paint is good with normal chips for its age. cro-mo and current stand over height is 29". frame is 49cm.

HAVE: 1986 (?) Schwinn Cimarron f&f, straight and red. tange tubes with neat flared top and downtubes, fillet brazed at the headtube and lugged elsewhere. 21" ctt, Tange Gmaster headset with the needle bearings. Would make a great smaller commuter or vintage mtb. paint is in decent condition for age. ***pics to come***

WANT: Looking for a 23" Cimarron OR a road frame over 61cm. prefer schwinn and paint condition unimportant to me.

2001 Lemond buena vista. 9/10 shape. Black yellow decals. SZ 61cm Reynolds 853
Tig welded. Carbon fork. Last year for the 1'' headset.
Looking for a similar quality road or track frame in a 57 or 58. Or I've kind of got this thing for mid-late '80s Schwinn right now, so something like a Peloton or a Madison.

No smiley face, so I assume you're not joking. Huret used toothless pulleys on some of their derailleurs; how well they shift is open to debate.

What's confusing me is the one closer to the cassette is toothed, but the other one is not. just trying to make sense of the world. Aren't Huret some of the best touring derailleurs? or not this model?

I have a campy rally that I am going to replace the worn down pully wheels on, it makes weird noises now and im pretty sure that is the cause.

I've read great praise for Huret's Duopar as a touring derailleur. I have one and can't detect anything very special about it, and both of its pulleys have teeth. I believe the one pictured above is a Jubilee, they're pretty desirable due to their low weight.

I've had a few Allvit's with the toothless pulleys, they're awful in my opinion.

I picked that bike up last fall and only did a brief ride on it due to it's needing to be serviced after a long storage so I can't say much about the derailleur at this point.

Even though Chris is a newer member, he had excellent communication, was forthcoming and willing to take the frame to an LBS to check the angles for me. The frame was packaged with exceeding care and in better than described condition!

Thanks for the praise, rat fink. I also have nothing but good things to say about my experience with this swap. Everything went very smoothly. I also have to say that this whole swap game is a great idea. I'm still putting together the frame rat fink sent me, I'll post pictures in C&V when it's done.

56cm 1996 Gios Compact Pro, frame and fork



- Gios calls this a 56, because it's 56cm S-T for the seat tube, but more like 55-55.5cm if measuring C-C.
- Top tube is 54.5 cm C-C.
- Chromed rear chain stay, beautiful chrome fork
- Love the ride, look and feel of this bike, but it's a tad long in the top tube.

What I'd like to trade for:

- Most importantly, 52.5 to 54cm top tube
- Prefer square geometry, and around at least a 53cm C-C seat tube
- Doesn't need to be lugged, but has to be STEEL
- Looking for comparable high end Italian or Japanese frames, modern is okay too

I rencently aquired a 1995(?) 23" inch Trek 520 Frame and Original Fork. The frame is a bit too small for me I'm a 60-62cm kind of guy. It looks structurally fine, but cosmetically it needs some serious work. Looking for another touring frame chromoly and 130-135mm rear end spacing.
