Sorry about reviving an older thread but I wanted to point out what is actually in the silver shifter bar end kits that Rivendell is selling. I just bought one for a build I am doing and the kit came with silver shifters, bar end pods, yokozuna shift cable housing kit that includes cables, housing, housing stops, crimp end thingys for the cable ends, downtube cable stops and downtube shifter boss adapters should you decide to just go downtube shifter. Quite a lot of stuff came with the kit that I thought I would have to order separately.

I use silvers as downtube shifters on a touring bike and have found them to be quite nice, easy, smooth to use and they stay in place. I am sure as a bar end shifter they will be great.
