the frame looks like a '81 Super Leggera, the group looks like mid to later '90 Veloce or Xenon.

The frame itself is a top of the line Reparto build. It could have been sold as a Super Corsa or Super Leggera model as a complete bike or as a Specialissima frameset. As it is now, I do not see anything other than the headset that would be original to a SC or SL build. Very nice frame.

What they said!

This is the FIRST 80/81 that I have seen in black! It is awesome, please just clean, polish, adjust and ride, do not re-paint!!

Only the SUper leggera seems to be listed as available in black w/chrome luggs. While the Super leggera and Super Corsa were certainly top of the line in '81/82 I believe the actual Reparto Corse concept was not used until '8ish, that atleast is the first reference I see to it in any of the catalogs.

Thanks for the info everyone! I just got this from my father in-laws garage. I've never owned a road bike & not sure it's for me, I ride mountain bikes. I think it's too big for me, no clearance for standover. I'm probably going to sell to fund a hardtail frame I've had hanging in the garage forever. Any idea on a starting point on price? Seems to ride fine, shifts well, rims are true.

Not sure about "Reparto concept". But the Reparto Corse was an actual seperate shop used to build the team bikes and top of the line race frames way before the 80's. I'm just guessing, but in my opinion these early 80's frames were the probably the LAST of the true Reparto frames that were still offered to the public. And by the late 80's it was just a meaningless decal put an a lot of the production frames.

What's it worth

Hi,
What would a 1981 Bianchi like this one be worth.
I have a similar black road bike in excellent shape -- I say excellent, because I have had other enthusiasts salivate when looking at my bike, and asking to take a closer look. It is through these folks, I have learnt more about my bike.

Thanks in advance for your help.
