On the way to my garage to grab a bike to ride to church and this "pairing" caught my eye!

Grady,
Thanks. Happy to make them up for you. There are few things I enjoy more than tying flies. BTW, better take that Gargoyle out of the package, as it looks like it bunched up during shipping. Hope some of these work as well for you down in the D.R. as the one did on that bass! Scott

Just received an incredible salt water fly sampler from our very own Rootboy. We are off to the Dominican Republic this winter and I have received permission from the CFO to bring along my Sage Musky/Hardy reel combo.
So many talents Scott has, as these flies are gorgeous. I was out yesterday. I tied one of these on and caught a 4 lb largemouth on the first cast. Barely hit the water and bam!!!!! :) Not too shabby. Also, check out the special "Grady's Gargoyle." I fish locally for muskies with my steelhead outfit and this "Gargoyle" looks like just the ticket for late season muskies. Thanks again Scott. You're the best. :) https://c2.staticflickr.com/9/8337/2...bfd00628_b.jpgFlies from Scott G. What an absolute joy to receive a box from this talented tier. I'm off to cast a few of these beauties this evening. Thanks Scott. :) by gomango1849, on Flickr https://c3.staticflickr.com/9/8268/2...412d2ac0_b.jpgFlies from Scott G. Just got home from a cruise up to Glacier Bay with my wife. It's nearly impossible to take a bad photo up there |

You're too modest, NorthBend. That is spectacular. |

Bon Jon 35's, very plush. I had 38's on my Weigle and can't tell the difference, 38's may be overkill.

I was thinking the same thing. When my 38's are done I may go down to 35's and get a bit more clearance. How do you like the ride of that one?

One of my favorites :thumb: Mostly short 20 mile rides, however a pure joy to ride...can't explain it.

If the 35s you're using are the Vittoria Hyper Randos you might not notice unless moving up within brand; the 35s measured near 38 on my bike anyway. |

Good eye, Sir_Name. I probably would have brushed that off there and shot the whole bike against a background. But sometimes the magic is in the details... :thumb:
^Nice work, Jim. |
