Bikes: Nishiki 1975?

70's Nishiki

Pictures of a 70's Nishiki that I got on E-Bay for $24.99. Same frame size and color of the bike I bought as a teenager. Having fun cleaning and fixing her up. Rides very nice.

Nice score Bill - that thing is a time machine!
(And it must take you back a few decades! )

Welcome to C&V - and be advised that your 1st C&V purchase is likely not your last!

Bikes: American Eagle, Nishiki.Semipro. Great bike.

Welcome to Bike Forums!!

Wow! I am so jealous. I love, absolutely love my American Eagle Nishiki, semi pro!

That looks like a big frame though, is it 62 cm? Hope you're tall!

That is really nice, I had an earlier Nishiki when I was a teenager. You can sure see why they became so popular so quickly.

Those derailleur pulleys are worth more than you paid for the bike!

I owned a 1979 Nishiki Olympic as my first road bike in 1982. It looked very much like yours. A time machine indeed.

Wifes car was in the way and I was to lazy to move it. Will do better next time. Was kind of a spur of the moment thing. Have it almosy the way I want it. The decals are not in the best shape, but I hate the replace them, it currently has that vintage look. The paint is not bad and cleaned up well a lot of the surface scratches came out. Just reliving my childhood as my son tells me LOL.
