Difference between Nitto Technomic (short quill version) and Dynamic?
Title says it all... what's the difference between these two stems? Technomics are known for their long quills, but they're also available in a short quill version, a "Deluxe" version with anodized finish, etc... Both the Technomic and Dynamic have a 72 degree bend and seem to do the same "job". The clamps are different (Dynamic clamp bolt threads into stem), but is that the only difference? Is one forged to a higher standard? I need a new stem and I love Nittos but I don't need the height of a Technomic. The Dynamics also seem to sell for less.

When I looked into this about year ago, I found the following:
Dynamic: Bare aluminum, maximum height 78 mm from fork locknut to top of stem allen bolt (measured along vertical neck of stem), ~427 grams
Technomic: Bare aluminum, maximum height 160 mm above fork locknut, ~300 grams
Deluxe: Anodized and nicer finishing overall, maximum height 120 mm above fork locknut
I also didn't need the height of the Technomic, and eventually found a used Deluxe that was cheaper than any of the models new.
