Ya know, everyone is happy with their pump. This is probably a 100 year old design that hasn't needed much refinement. Pretty much every pump does the job just fine. Just buy a pump wherever you want, and don't worry. You'll be happy.

randyjawa should post this on histenspeeds.com so everyone will know and it doesn't need to be repeated.

If you don't mind a Presta/Schrader 'smart' head set up
I have been very pleased with my Nashbar L'Orange Floor Pump.

I know some folks don't like that.

Very sound construction quality to my eye and I like the gauge up top where it is easier for me to see.
A year into using it I have had zero problems and it works very well for me.

They usually have it for about $40 'on sale' and I used a 20% coupon so I thought it was a good deal for $32 plus shipping.

I figure if the 'smart' head ever goes bad I will just switch to a different type of head.

My neighbor saw me using mine and liked it so much he ordered one and likes his as well.

As they say on the bike forums "Your mileage may vary."(YMMV)

Silca.

I've also been using this solid little compressor, currently $80:

Just get a good hose, like a Goodyear.
