I never liked that Campus Greeeeeeen, but it's better than plum purple.
Trade it (at a loss) to one of the Parmount afficionado's here for something lesser, or pony up the dollars to have it re-done by Waterford correctly.

As to the correct spelling of common words, it's amusing to me that people here like to get worked up over the appropriate components to hang on a bike, or the period correct paint colors to use, or the right tires, and will happily argue for days over the merits of Campy vs. Shimano; but correct their spelling or grammar and they get offended.

I dont have much experience in C&V, and I *know* it's blasphemous to paint that bike, but.... green is a difficult color to work with. There are only certain tones that I like (usually the darker variety). I'm afraid to say that green isn't one of the tones I like.

There were some other nice Schwinns that came in Campus Green, I have a 78 Superior in that shade.

That color of green is class. So it requires gum hoods with tan leather bar wrap and maybe a new lighter shade of brooks??? That would certainly make it look better, without repainting a perfect paramount. Make sure you band the new bartape correctly or you could face a ban.

Green is my favorite color, and I'm a sucker for Nervex lugs. This would be a keeper for me as is. IMO, the condition does not warrant a repaint. Thus, I would ban you if I could.
But seriously, I think there are better options instead of repainting. Lots of peoiple would love to have an iconic frame such as yours in, as far as I can tell, excellent condition. A trade or perhaps even posting in the "this frame doesn't fit" thread seems like a better (not to mention more economical) idea.
Plus, repechage makes as good point as usual. The saddle does look too far forward to me as well. It seldom makes sense to repaint a classic & vintage frame that doesn't fit you.

I am concerned about keeping the Paramount date correct. I've waiting to long for a great bike like a Paramount and was only asking to re-affirm what I should have already known. There were 3 reasons for my asking about changing colors on the Paramount. I don’t particularly like Green, I like Flamboyant Red better and what I would have though one of the most important reasons to re-paint is that Campus Green is not on the list of colors in 1978 for a P13-9 Paramount. I thought by having it professionally re-paint a correct colors would be a good choice. If not, I will leave it Campus Green.
Sorry for the misspelled word. Normally I do a spell-check on everything I post.

My 2 cents; pastoral advice if you don't mind, is to keep the '78 for now. Basically leave it as is other than cleaning and maintenance, while keeping an eye out for a 1960-'79 Paramount in the color that rocks your boat.
It might come as just a frameset (this is how I acquired my Flampoyant Red '71 P-13 and out from under the hesitating nose of the C&Ver in Post #42 just above!). At that time I transferred the parts from my too large '66.
Or you might come upon one that really deserves to be repainted. That fit the bill of the '66 I owned. But let me assure you, if you repaint the bike, you will never recover the cost of the paint job in a sale, unless possibly if the sale is decades in the future.
Be patient. The color Paramount you seek is out there, or at least the poor neglected canvas of one is waiting for you.

I was going to say eh, blasphemy doesn't enter into it. It's a Paramount, not the Shroud of Turin.
That said, it's an original and authentic Paramount (whereas the Shroud of Turin is a fake) and what little value it has comes from its originality and condition. So while painting it wouldn't be a crime either sacred or profane, it would be pretty stupid.

Repainting it costs you twice: it is not cheap to get it done right, and you then instantly subtract a few hundred dollars from the value of a the bike. A repainted bike is always worth less than one in original paint, unless the original paint is a mess, which yours ain't.
As others have suggested, just find someone with a P frame in the color you want and trade it. I'd bet there are a half dozen such people/bikes on this forum who would gladly take that swap. Then for the cost of shipping you get an all original frame in the color you want. No brainer.

Green is not one of my favored colors. Few shades of it are appealing. I found this Paramount very attractive. Given its condition, there is no logical reason to repaint it unless you are obsessive about it. The bike is yours of course, so you can do as you please.
