Old levers, new calipers
Hey, so I'm building my Colnago up w/ a mostly 74XX Dura Ace group, except for the wheels and brakes I decided to go with modern components. So I'm looking at 7402 Aero levers and hopefully 7800 calipers (maybe 7700). Since looking into this, it seems that there may be compatibility issues with the lever used and the calipers. Does anyone know if this would apply to the levers/brakes I plan on using? This is just not an issue I have any familiarity with, if someone could clear this up for me that would be awesome!
Thanks

I did the exact opposite on my first '86 Schwinn Peloton build and it worked fine.
7800 brifters, Shimano Sante calipers. They worked fine, but those sidepulls felt noodly compared to 7800 calipers, so I eventually swapped them to 7800--sorry purists, but what a difference a few decades make!
