That takes "self-awareness" to an entirely new Freudian level.

The sweet click of gears doing what they're supposed to. Love it.

I bought "his and hers" 87 Marin Pine Mountains at a fleamarket last spring. Hers was OK but his needs quite a lot of work. Ordered a cheap JIS headset with sealed bearings , 24 $ with free shipping. It came today and seems to be very good value. Installed easily and looks good.

I guess you could say that I left my posterior exposed on that one.

Two Pasela blackwalls 700x25 (for the Univega Nuovo Sport speedster); Esge Pletscher Twin two-legged kickstand and 4-hook bungee cargo net (for the Univega Supra Sport grocery-getter); KMC X10.93 chain (for the Spec Roubaix); Kool Stop tire jack; and metal pants clips (aka pince-pantalon, Hosenklammern).
Just what I wanted. And shipping was free. Merry Christmas to me.

I know that one of my New Year's Resolutions is not to buy any more bikes or parts, but technically I bought these two HG50 "J" cassettes last year.

And I couldn't pass them up at $9 each. Not sure what I'll do with them yet. Perhaps I'll get faster and appreciate the closer steps. Or maybe I'll pair one with a triple a la Drew Eckhardt to have the perfect mix of range and close spacing.

(For the real dweebs out there, the date codes of OL, PA, and PH put these between Dec 1990 and Aug 1991. )

My 2015 Veloce group from ribble. Can't wait to get it on my Merckx. This is the second Veloce group I've bought and for the money you can't go wrong. I know it's its campys low model but it works so nice and smooth.

a Campy downtube derailleur cable set, 4 of those little screws for campy pedals, 3 campy seat post bolts, and just to prove you should not mix the three B's (Birthday, Beer, eBay) a NOS Bianchi Reparto Corse El-OS frame... it is very pretty...
