Viner special professional and Concorde Aquila

Hi guys,

I have just bought a Concorde Aquila - you can see pictures here: https://happymtb.org/forum/read.php/1...20#msg-1932720

It is Campagnolo indeed but which model of components? Is it a great frame? Columbus?

I am about to swop it for a Viner Special professional picture -- https://www.blocket.se/stockholm/Ital...r_41402394.htm
Is that a Columbus frame? Do you think it's a good deal?

I'm happy for all your help!

/Andreas

I like concordes, yours looks like it has a mixture of components. The cranks are C record, front derailleur looks like chorus, rear derailleur maybe record. We would need better pictures to tell for sure.

I can't read German(?) and there is no tubing decal on either frame so I have no way of knowing which is better. Just looking at the bikes I would not make an even trade for the Viner. Which bike fits you? there seems to be a huge difference in sizes.

Are the sizes different? Which one fits you better? As mentioned the Concorde looks to have slightly newer Campy components, compared to the Viner which appears to have Nuovo Record. Both look like nice rides.

Haha it's swedish.

That's the thing, the Concorde is too big for me, I bought it for a good price so I couldn't resist but now I want to find something in my size. What do you mean by "I would not make an even trade"? Which one is worth more you say?

the Concorde is newer (might be SLX tubing) and has some "high-zoot" components...but you say it does not fit you.
The Viner is hard to judge: a good brand but seems like an earlier vintage compared to the Concorde and lacks any chrome (maybe indicates a "budget tubeset", maybe not) and hard to judge exactly what gruppo it has.
Based on this sketchy info: the Concorde is worth more than the Viner...make your trade accordingly (or provide better pics of the Viner and we'll re-assess).
