Who's going? What are you bringing? Assuming I get my act together I'll bring one or both of my Record Aces.

Interesting, one think having lived Quinzy, Weymouth and Hull for a little over 10 years I would have heard of this place.

I'll likely stop in but will only bring whatever it is I'm riding. And maybe some cash.

So this has nothing to do with former Boston Red Sox first-baseman (now a Cubs minor-leaguer) and Oakland-native Lars Anderson?

Maybe we can ride the tandem over. Never have quite figured out a route from here to that part of the world though.

Hmm, I ride from Brookline to Waltham a lot: Charles River bike path to Grove St in Watertown to Belmont St/Trapelo Rd, right on Mill St past McLean Hospital, left on Concord Ave, go over rt 2 and I'm in Waltham. Or if I want a big climb, I go straight up Concord out of Belmont center.

So, I went, I saw, and I took pictures. Most of the photos are 'group' shots, general views, not very many featuring just one bike. I took my two Record Aces, didn't see any others, tho there were at least three Raleigh Golden Arrows.

Near perfect day, perfect weather. I'd barely gotten my two bikes stood up when a gent comes over and wants to know where I got the grips on one bike. "From 3-Speed hub on Huron Ave in Cambridge," I replied. "Hi, I'm Nick of Three-Speed Hub." Interesting guy.

I'll get the pix up later.

I completely forgot about it! We did head up to catch a Lowell Spinners game in the afternoon, however.

OK, pix in computer, but lots on my plate...

To get started, at least:

My two black beauties ready to go, strapped down on a 'Chick Mead Rack'. I think this rack has been on at least 6 cars in its near 50-year career. Besides bikes, it's carried canoes, a dinghy, a kayak, a variety of lumber, not to mention Christmas trees, plumbing, conduit, spars, and who knows what else. A very, very, capable and adaptable design.

This little beauty was nearly identical to my first 'real' bike. Mine had a 3-speed AW hub.

We went a lot of places together; I wonder if my parents had any idea how far away I journeyed on that bike. Longest trip was Westwood, MA to Quincy when I was probably in the 6th or 7th grade.

The bike was shown by kid, but I don't have his photo. His Father said his Son had the bug...
