Taking the fast lane with trailer?

WTH was this guy doing?

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...-motorway.html

If I understand correctly, motorway = restricted-access freeway, and the (very short) clip shows him changing from the middle of three lanes to the slow lane (UK left=slow). Text indicates at one point he was in the 'third lane', which I guess is the fast lane?

Bikes: ...a few.

That is insane. Where did he think he was going? There was no exit lane anywhere near there. I certainly hope there wasn't a child in that carriage.

How (and WHY) the eff did he get out into the right lane in the first place? Maybe a foreigner from a place where they drive on the other side of the road, and suffered a moment of chirality dysphasia? In Detroit I had a friend from India, and it took him a while to get accustomed to driving on the "other" side of the road. I don't see a mirror on either end of this dude's handlebar, but the reflector on the trailer is on the right side, suggesting it's built for use on the left side of the road.

that is so dangerous. I am glad that vehicles were slowing and cautious. Not sure i have much more to say about it.
