Light mounts

Nice looking light mounts Norwood. What exactly are they?

They look like p-clamps bolted together to me. Quite ingenious if it is.

I haven't personally used the half clips, but a friend of mine told me yesterday that he had them for a while and they are perfectly functional. He however would rather have straps...

Sorry Rich, I thought you were mistaken...

Bikes: Soma Grand Randonneur, modified Xootr Swift, Trek 1000SL with broken brifter from running it into a hotel porte-cochère

I'm working from home today, and taking pictures of my bike for no good reason, and hey--here's a good place to post them!

It's a Xootr Swift with an IGH, my daily commuter (when I'm not working from home). This is its winter outfit.

The headlight and computer are new, so the cable routing isn't anything yet:

With its friends in the apartment entryway:

That's exactly what they are. They work very well. The cyclo-computer mount is one also. Less than a buck each plus hardware at the local home improvement store.
BTW Sorry the photos came out so large, that was not my intent.

Wow -- talk about a contrast in styles. That's a hundred years of design evolution bolted together.

^^^ Looks great! Bet it is a lot more comfortable to ride. That stem does look long though.

Yeah, sorry. Usually I try to avoid jargon and just use English, but that one got by me. It's got a Sram Dual Drive internal gear hub.

I've looked through a lot of these posts and I'm sorry, but some of these bikes are really, really ugly. And I'm not kidding about that. Can we get an aesthetics moderator on this thread?

When it comes to getting to work, or running errands, most people would much rather have an ugly, reliable, practical bike than a pretty bike that's more likely to be stolen when locked up. That's actually part of the reason some are ugly. Though, personally, I can find the attraction in each and every one of them, they all serve a different purpose for each person that owns them. I seriously hope you were joking... This thread doesn't need a troll running around. Sorry not everyone can have a "gorgeous" bike, not everyone wants one, or can afford one.

Four years of membership, and that's the best you can do for a first post?
