You can get this chain watcher: https://www.pricepoint.com/detail/184...in-Watcher.htm
It keeps the chain from dropping off the inner side of the crankset. Looks like this on the bike:

yeah thanks ill try that everything else ive done has not worked
Not at all, make sure your chain is at the correct length. Could also be your crank's chainline not agreeing with the gear changes.

Fiori Roma
Not the most practical commuter (only takes 23's) but I love zipping around the city on this thing.
These were assembled in Canada with Ishiwata tubing. I've heard some bad things about Biopace, but it suits me just fine..

Fioris are nice bikes and there is nothing wrong with Biopace chain rings... the folks who criticize them don't understand the physics of what makes them work as they do and non round chain wheels are making a comeback.

I love my Biopace chainring. I built my Surly around it!

Just wanted to show you guys my new ride, I know it doesn't compare to what some of you have, but since my daily commute is only around 4 miles, I figure this would do the job?!
Living in Japan does present a few problems...one of them is finding the right size bike
Sure you have imports, but they tend to cost an arm and a leg!
I went to my LBS, rode on a few and this was the most comfortable for me and for around 330us$ I couldn't pass it up...and yes it is made in China
Anyway here are the pics...

I'm not sneering, vikiing. That's a perfect commuter bike. The only funny thing is that the name is the French plural word for horses!

Here's my "new" commuter... it's not fast, but it's fairly comfortable. It gets me where I'm going and transports my stuff as I see fit. To those who say a front load effects handling, I'll agreed, but I only notice it when I have to do quick turns at low speed, like a switchback, or around a traffic control device. I'm still faster on my Aurora, but I've grown a bit nervous about parking that bike on campus, this bike works.
It's a mid 90s Specialized Hardrock that I've upgraded significantly... Cheapo Gotham tires, On One Mary Handlebar, new front brake and brake lever, Cardiff Saddle, Peltscher rack on the front with a wald basket ziptied on, MKS pedals with Power Grips. I'm digging the Sackville saddlebag. So here's my poor man's Rivendell...

Why can't I see attachments like this? Can anyone else see them?
