I like your setup. The rear rack looks a bit off, though. Are the struts going down to the dropout eyelets adjustable? I'm wondering if that rack was designed for bikes with 26" wheels.

Thanks for the comment. It was on my MTB before. The struts are adjustable, with a pair of pliers I managed to bend them a little to get the rack straight.

Very nice. I wish Trek would sell this bike in North America. For some reason bikes with IGH, dynohubs, lights, fenders, and racks seem to be the exception rather than the norm in these parts.

Windsor International.

I am not sure of the bike's year, if ANYONE knows what year it might be, it would be a HUGE help. This is going to be my commuter once the next school year rolls around. To and from the train station, and at times to work.

i am planning on freshly wrapping the handlebars (the foam handles are starting to wear away), and I want to get a new saddle for it as well.

Why can't I find any info on that bike? It's a nice one!

My daily commuter.

I can't bring myself to put fenders or racks on it so I only ride in nice weather and wear a backpack. Thankfully in the high desert of New Mexico most of the time the weather is nice and dry!

Nice Giant. Looks really good. The right fenders would look nice but no rack.

That bike is in great shape! I'd guess late 70's/early 80's - it has a cotterless crank and the ubiquitous Dia-Compe centerpulls of the day. For a bike of that type, it would most likely have been equipped with a cottered crank prior to '77 or so. Others here may have better input.

Late 70's early 80's. 5speed free hub 70's, 6 speed probably early 80's. Date the parts and you will be pretty close. https://www.vintage-trek.com/component_dates.htm
Parts dating late in the year usually mean it is next years model.

Can you read Danish?

https://www.trekbikes.com/dk/da/bikes.../s_bike/s720e/

Many European bikes are spec'd differently than those sold in North America.

That's how I felt when I first started bike commuting to work. Once I got stuck riding in a couple of rain storms I quickly changed my mind on the fenders!

Nice bike.

Good looking bikes, everybody. I love the diversity in selections we have here. Just goes to show, you can use just about anything to get the job done!

Just bought a pannier/saddlebag for my "beater" Pacific/Schwinn. It's a Sunlite Traveler 1 bag, was on sale at Ebikestop.com for $18! Couldn't pass it up. It probably has more storage than I'll ever need commuting. I'm ready to go!

(Sorry for the sucky cell pics, my good camera had dead batteries)

The picture upload widget doesn't like me either, I had to upload to another site and link the images here for them to work.

Ah, thank you. Fenders are Planet Bike. I got em off ebay for $25 or $30 shipped. The red and white tips are just some reflective tape I got from Wal-mart.
