Bikes: 2011 Felt Z85 (road/commuter), 2006 Marin Pine Mountain (utility/commuter E-bike), 1995 KHS Alite 1000 (gravel grinder)

While not quite as nice as Brentone, my trusty road commuter got a long overdue deep clean this weekend consisting of full disassembly and cleaning of the entire drivetrain, plus installation of a new KMC chain (3rd chain on this bike). The bike is about to hit 9,000 miles.

Here's my '93 Fisher Calydon that I built last month to replace my Giant TCX I was using ( I wanted to put it back to cyclocross use). I mostly built it because I was enamored with that weird rear derailleur. I've ridden it a couple of times to work and it's a bit of a tank, but it's fun. I modified with the stem adapter/ bars/ and bar end shifters.

Thanks, the wheels weren't totally intentional. I usually like more subdued wheel logos but these happened to work with the bike. I noticed that the new versions of these Corsa Lite wheels are much more subdued on the decals.

This bike is in the process of being replaced. Apparently having bikes against trucks doesn't do well for the bike.

I sometimes use the trailer if I have too much stuff to carry. On truck day I left it at home. Oh, I'm fine, just bruised. The bike is totaled. But I have a new bike ordered. Life is good.

Glad you're ok, was that Ti? Are you getting the same thing again?

That Travoy system looks pretty sweet. On the Burley website I only see a seatpost hitch, did you just ziptie to your rack or something?

EDIT never mind, I found the accessories page with the rack-mount.

Looks like a painted Motobecane frame. Unless they have Ti frames, I don't know.

They do, but that looks like a Fantom Cross Outlaw (label on the TT), which is Aluminum.

Motobecane Ti Cross bikes start at only $1399! This is a serious contender for my next bike.

The dead bike is an aluminum cross bike. I'm replacing it with a ti gravel-ish bike. It won't arrive until Feb.

Recently I got the itch to make some additional changes. I ended up upgrading a few more things on the commuter:
- replaced saddle and seatpost
- replaced riser handlebar to trekking bar with Ergon grips (wrapped the bar with cork tape after the photo was taken)
- replaced quill stem to threadless stem
- replaced clipless pedals to platform pedals.
- added handlebar bag
