How does one steer that? It looks kind of dangerous, although very useful.

I was thinking the same thing! I have enough problems trying to steer normal shopping carts.

I'm a total klutz and can barely steer my *bike*! Heh.

I have a feeling that when you try to turn it would try to fold up on itself.

It looks like the fork is turned around backwards and mounted to the buggy. And the "handlebars" of the buggy are the handlebars. With the brake levers mounted on them.

My commuter, 1994 Schwinn Moab. It carries me 35 miles round trip, 3 days a week typically. Pretty much all still original except the saddle, now a Bontrager Race Lux, LX derailleur (the original Alivio was destroyed when a stick got jammed in it when this was my mtn bike), and the bars/bar ends. Weighs in at 40lbs loaded for commuting.

Here's the commuter I finished last night. I'm running 44x18 fixed (44x17 free on the other side) which is a little low for the street but great for hopping curbs and tearing off down trails and through brush. It's an IRO Rob Roy with a bunch of decent parts (Phil Wood hubs, Surly rack, Brooks saddle, Thomson stem, Sugino cranks, etc.) on it. I rode it this morning and had a blast.

My fixed gear commuter. Running 2 Superflashes and a TL-LD1000 out back, a NR Classic Plus up front, and you can't really see the grocery bag pannier on the non drive side. If I carry any more I'll need a trailer....How hard would it be to make a fixed gear Xtracycle;)

Couldn't fit text in under this pic, an updated pic of my bike after new cables and brake.

I don't see how going from 2 wheel to 3 wheel would be unstable. That third wheel is the stability

Someday I'll build one

They appear to be moustache handlebars

Some sort of moustache bars, stock on the Redline 925. When I bought the bike I figured I would be replacing them with drops, but they are comfortable.

with a head tube angle like that it would be unstable. Might be fine going straight, but turning would be quite scary.

I've those same fenders, I recommend taking a hacksaw to shorten the wire supports so your toes don't hit them :)

This would be my commuting bike....and is when class is in. Right now, it's my touring bike!

Here's my 2006 Bianchi Volpe I just got a couple days ago. Got it to replace my '93 Trek 520. Not that the 520 was a bad bike, but just wanted something a little faster and lighter.
