Nice ride in this morning around 70F. Always a headwind, this morning it was 12mph. Ride home was nice, although it was 98F. Beat my previous ride time record by 25 seconds.

Just got home, decided to take the much more hilly version home, do not regret it. Warm night here in SD, slightly humid, no cars on my route for some reason

Very nice ride, an IMPD officer went by me about 120mph+ on a city street (4 lane) with just lights, no siren. Swoooosh. Now I get to ride almost exactly half way (7 miles) back, working somewhere else today. What a wonderful life.

Good ride in, but a bit muggy at 72 F ( 22 C). A doe and two fawns crossed in front of me in. The doe was in the woods and the fawns waited to see what I was, then went right in front of me. I always stop when I see deer, as, because you never know how many there are and getting knocked over by one of them wouuld be painful.

A bit steamy. Rains came through around 5:30AM but the ride was dry. Temps around 70F/21C, and I had a headwind. Blonde trail hottie was out for a walk.

Oh and I saw two dead mouse-sized rodents on the MUP. Odd.

My wife and I just bought a new (to us) house in Burlington. In less than 2 months my commute will go from 6.5 miles one-way to 1.8 miles. That's almost too short to ride, but I'll continue to ride most of the time. I rode to the place yesterday. 7 minutes there, and 10 minutes back, on account of an elevation change and a long red light.

Added more zip ties to my rickety baskets, that outta get me through another couple of months.

Humid, sticky, but pleasant, lots of bikes out. I never noticed just how much broken glass there is in this world until I started commuting back in September.

Decided to drive today because it was smoky due to nearby wildfires and there is a high probability of severe thunderstorms this afternoon. Also my legs need a break after riding more than 200 miles over the past week and 400+ over the past two weeks. I was hurtin' on my commute yesterday due to tired legs and the hot, humid weather. Sometimes you just need a rest day.

Very muggy this morning at about 75f. There's a good chance of rain today so I expect to be riding home wet. In any case, it should be a nice ride either because of the rain, or because the high is only supposed to be in the mid 80's. Found a huge tire tube on the bike path last night on the way home. Looked like it would fit a tractor's front tire.

Warm and sunny. Humidity was modest. Rode my primary commuter/ hauler today as I may have to stop and pick some stuff up on the way home. Just can't do that on the road bike. Almost got right hooked by a grey vehicle trying to get around me to make a right. I'm not sure what this cager was thinking, but in they end they made the right decision by not hooking me although they made they made the wrong decision initially thinking they could try.

Should be a sultry ride home with temps in the mid 80s and humidity rising.

Mid-70's and muggy ride in this morning. Looks like there is a chance for storms this afternoon, but hopefully they will be out of here by the end of the day. Either way, I'm prepared to ride home wet if I have to.

16C (61F), cloudy, calm. Might hit 80F this afternoon! This is Edmonton's 2 weeks of summer. Decent ride in. I pass over one of the city's busiest roads on a pedestrian bridge, and this morning, it was bumper-to-bumper traffic as far as you could see. Nice to be on a bike.

Riding in the rain here in S. FL. The puncture I had last night turned out to be a nasty gash that went right through the tire and exposed the tube, probably from a broken beer bottle tossed out on 4th of July. I put in a boot and rode on this morning, but I think it's a short term solution and the tire will have to be replaced. I've spent some time this morning browsing 'the usual suspects' to hopefully find a deal on a replacement tire.

Bikes: 2010 Kona Dew Drop (the daily driver),'07 Specialized Roubaix (the sports car), '99 ish Kona NuNu MTB (the SUV), Schwinn High Plains (circa 1992?) (the beater)

So after not getting to bicycle commute even one day last week (3 telecommuting days, one day in Baltimore and one day on Metro for schedule reasons), I'm back on the bike. Had a great ride this morning, despite the humidity, but I had some frustrating moments trying to figure out how to negotiate the Lincoln Memorial/Reflecting pool area because of all the fences. I hope they aren't permanent.

I did get to ride this weekend, in preparation for my century this fall. I'm not sure I like climbing real hills!

First ride since last Thursday when vacation started, and the road construction on my most direct route was complete. Nice and smooth, but now I find the route too short, at least during nice clear mornings. Right now it is raining so hard I'm trying to remember how long a cubit is, so I will appreciate the short route home more this afternoon on a beautifully smooth and well drained bike lane.

Can't complain too much. Tried out a paved, but still unopened street last night that could provide a solid alternate route for the first few miles of my commute. It looks like it'll be pretty good.

Muggy but relatively cool this AM, although I gotta admit the 70 degree (and cooler) weather the TdF is riding through these days seems very alluring. Looking forward to the ride home tonight... Just because I really want to be on my bike.

Uneventful, but since I've been laid off for 3 months, that's pretty much everyday.

Haven't ridden since Friday, when I only did half of my 48 mile round trip commute, so today was a mix of slight rustiness combined with relatively high energy due to a relaxing weekend. Ride in was kinda muggy, but relatively cool at around 75-ish degrees, and I beat the massive morning downpour by less than an hour. Ride home was gross though...wasn't extremely hot, but humid as hell and there was zero wind, so the air was heavy and stagnant, but not raining, at least. But I got out of work early (I'm in a long training class, so that's one of the perks), so I was able to get on the W&OD before it got too crowded...and I have plenty of time to sit back and relax tonight.
