Last night after leaving the Ricky Martin concert, I rode my bike in the streets without turning on my lights and ran a red light to make a left turn with about four cop cars in my presence. My journey was only three blocks that were well lit otherwise I would not have gone that far.

I see a hot girl on a hot bike and I take a long hard stare at the bike and think man, that is one lucky saddle.

I will only use platform pedals. I like to think I ain't scared of anything but I hate clipless pedals and have a secret fear of them. I have ridden 2 metrics with them but I hate feeling trapped in.

I've done clipped-in fallovers more times than I care to admit. Also, I disagree that human powered bicycles are equivalent to 2 ton motored vehicles and therefore don't think that I should be subject to the same rules. In fact, I drive way more conservatively than I ride.

I know this is a confessions thread, but you're admitting going to a Ricky Martin concert?

Oh goodness, I am laughing. I do admit going to a Ricky Martin concert, which was weak. If he were not so cute, I would have gone to see Prince for the second nights straight or stayed at home.

MUP=multiple use path

I am trying to change that to Must Use Pedals, as in no dog walkers.

I confess to saying hello only to women bike riders on the commute and not the male ones.

I confess that while I do desire for more people to start bike commuting, I hate when I'm around other bike commuters. Especially when they pass me on a cheap MTB, a single speed, or a fixie.

I've thought about spitting on cars that pass WAY to close when there's nothing even coming the other way and plenty of space... but by the time I think about that option, they're already out of range.

That's a perfectly good reason to stand... but you may want to change or adjust your saddle.

I googled mup. Rode my bike into a ditch while staring at the girl riding in front of me. Ride the MUP before it is legal to ride on it (sunrise). Run at least two red lights a day (one in the middle of a huge hill and one light that is just stupid). Think cyclists who ride on sidewalks are just wrong, except when I do it. Took half of today off because of a Dr appointment and went for a 45 mile ride in the summer rain instead. Last week while waiting for the stupid light to change, fell over for no apparent reason. I blame gravity.

I have been carrying this around for a while... I feel so much better.. I need a hug...

A few weeks ago while nearing work riding on the sidewalk, I somehow ran into a sign that wasn't even on the side walk but in the grass (5:45 am and not quite awake yet) Luckily nobody saw and I only suffered a bruised arm and ego

I used to argue with people who tell me how dangerous bicycling is and that I shouldn't do it. Now I just lie and tell them I have no choice because my license was suspended, and yes, it really is dangerous. Why do I do this? I want to scare these people away from bicycling. The fewer bikes on the road the fewer people in my way, slowing me down and the fewer people riding bicycles like idiots.

I bought my motobecane from bikes direct and tried to assemble it myself...then had to take it in to a bike shop for them to correct my poor work

The only reason I bought a rack was because a 6 pack of bottled beer is a little to heavy for the front basket.

I feel like I'm 10X more awesome for commuting in the rain, since see a lot less cyclists out. Look at me and my hard-core self, on my 30 year old high-ten mixte. Just me and the lycra dudes braving the rain, awwww ya.

I had an embarrassing and completely my fault accident that resulted in a scarred elbow that hurt badly for 3 weeks. Putting on my motorcycle jacket hurt, which sucked because it was difficult to ride the 20 miles to work on a too-small mountain bike. Now the only thing I'm scared of while riding is the bike trails at night

I didn't think this was that kind of forum.

Bikes: Too many to list here!

I once ran into a kerb while watching two police officers on the opposite side of the road, who'd just pulled over a guy on a motorbike...

This!

I don't ride when the wind is > 25-30mph. Glad I'm not the only one!

I frequently say out loud "Wheeee! Wheee!" When I'm riding home after work at 2 AM. No traffic + cool weather makes me a happy person.
