Street sweepers were out in force cleaning up the winter's gravel. I gave each and every one the thumbs up.

Saturday is usually my peaceful quiet commute but today for some reason the traffic was as bad as a weekday. Where the hell is everybody going at 7:30 am on a Saturday? Go back to bed don't you know the roads belong to me? First day in this year with double-digit temperatures, + 10 C.

The BLOODY ****ING ***** of a HEADWIND today. Cold one, too. I want to take a huge kitchen knife and stab that wind until it dies in pain.

Had to work Saturday, which made the third day of commuting this week. Great weather - sunny, mid-70's. On the way back I stopped along the airport runway to watch some fighters, bombers, etc land/takeoff for the air show at Thunder over Louisville. Had lots of company from cagers and stinky (motor) bikers.

Another sunny morning. Temps climbed quickly through the 30sF during my ride. Looks like rain later, and for most of the week. Saw a couple of trail hotties out for a morning run.

Back commuting after many months off. Felt good, although MUCH slower than I used to be. My main worry was that I would forget something or get a flat, neither of which happened.

Light rain this morning with the temperature around +5 C. The rain is washing some of the salt off the road but because the public works department have nothing better to do then salt the area roads we need a good strong down pour to really clean the streets. Sorry for the rant but every year the city says they are going to be more responsible and use less salt but every year they end up using just as much as the year before which is too much.

Bikes: "Hildy", a Novara Randonee touring bike; a 16-speed Bike Friday Tikit; and a Specialized Stumpjumper frame-based built-up MTB, now serving as the kid-carrier, grocery-getter.

Did my first ride with a new luggage setup. I installed a Klickfix adapter over the weekend, to attach my handlebar bar to the folding bike. I can now commute without a backpack. The handlebar bag also balances out the trunk rack nicely, the bike handles a bit better loaded.

Wet and breezy. I'd better get used to riding in all weather now that I don't have a car.

Took out my Raleigh Special this morning. Amazing ride. I like hopping on my slowpoke cruiser once in a while.

I got sucked in by the marathon route today.

The Boston Marathon is today, and part of my route follows the marathon route, complete with barriers on the roads to keep the spectators back, etc.

I turned onto Hereford St, following the barriers and was surprised to see a truck coming right at me (the streets in that area are all one way). I silently cursed him for being a jackass... Looked up, saw the "Do Not Enter" signs at Newbury and Hereford... Had a moment of incomprehension, and then realized that it was me that took the wrong turn, just blindly following the marathon route

Whoops. Pay attention! *Slaps self on head*

Unfortunately the finish line on Boylston St. is closed to traffic and has been since Friday. Thursday was fun though, triumphantly crossing the finish line with the scaffolding and the bleachers all around

gorgeous 46F and sunny. The warm 46 not the cold one, so no coat today.

Ugh started off my day on the wrong foot, well more like unclipped(toe clips) with the wrong foot first and was still half asleep so I wasn't able to get my other foot out in time and fell right over at the busiest intersection on my way to school. Bruised ego, skinned knee, and popped my chain off but by the time the light turned green again I was back on my way.

I think I may start drinking my coffee before I ride in the morning rather than after I get to my destination...

Steady rain this morning, not a downpour, but soaking nontheless. Looks like rain all day today and rain predicted through Wednesday, it'll get old real soon (just as soon as I put my not-yet-dry shoes on for this afternoon's ride home). Oh well, it's still fun.

Nice commute this morning. I put a 26c on the rear wheel as the 23c was wearing thin and i had a 26 in the garage. it seemed faster somehow (and yes i did adjust my computer).

Glorious sunny morning in the PNW. Is spring finally here? Had a great ride, and even shaved another 5 minutes off my commute time [struts around cubicle high-fiving imaginary friends].

great ride in, nice and warm (6C) this afternoon might hit 20C!! Sadly, snow is forecast for later in the week. And the headwind on the ride home will be a mofo.

Big 'ol high pressure system sitting over the West Coast this week means it's gonna be hot. This morning I had my vest off and my armwarmers around my wrists when I rolled up. It should be 94F for the ride home.

I forgot my keys this morning so I had to sneak my bike in the back stairs and up to my office, in violation of the building rules. Feh.

Great commute this morning. This is my first day of the year down to just one layer on the ride to work. It was sunny and 50*F when I left for work.

I'm in Sac too. Had a nice ride this morning at 8am. Nice and about 58 out. I'm not looking forward to leaving the office at 5 though. First 90+ day since last fall and it's my first day commuting on my bike. Nice initiation!

First day back on the bike since Tuesday. Shower-repairman was supposed to come Wednesday, then Thursday. Finally came Friday.

Rain this morning but it looks like I'll miss it on the way home today (knock wood).
