Latest Fredcast

I don't know how many of you listen to the fredcast, but he had two items on last week's podcast that are of potential interest to commuters. One is an app for iphones or Androids called Bike Crash Kit. It's a free app that kind of guides you through everything you should get while at the scene of an accident. It seems like it would be worth downloading & keeping on the phone just in case.

Also, a company that does asset tagging is offering a free set of bar-coded stickers to bike owners, to help in recovering a lost bike. https://www.myassettag.com/bike/

I haven't used either of these services, so I can't vouch for them but FWIW.

Bikes: Fuji silhouette, Dawes SST-aL

That's funny, you wouldn't be in an accident if you just get off your damn phone while riding in the first place!

I don't know about other cities but NYPD offers free bike registration and tagging.

the fredcast is a cycling podcast that comes out every month or so. www.thefredcast.com It's not commuter-specific, but it does contain some good cycling related info each edition.

It comes out on vinyl every other week. Because, you know mp3s are just a fad from the racing world.

If they recover a stolen bike they may return it to the owner. Otherwise it's junked or goes on auction. Although, just like the service mentioned in the OP, it's just a sticker.
