Bikes: Old steel GT's, for touring and commuting

It is a secure site with vetted and awesome co-workers so I don't even need a lock. My only beef would be that the bike rack is not covered.....
Awesome pic! Don't you just love not having to drag around a lock or lock up when you get there? My work has a locked cage in the garage, with maybe a dozen folks commuting I don't worry about anyone of them trying to steal my ride so I don't bother to lock up at work either.

Totally agree.
My office is in the middle of freaking nowhere, secure facility, awesome co-workers. Bike may get "pranked" on my birthday but that's about it.
At my last workplace an unlocked bike would be gone faster than a fart in a full gale.

How are so many of you allowed to bring the bike to the desks? My work would freak out about that.

Thanks! Though, I've recently modded it with 105 STI's which meant i needed to change the color scheme a bit. I replaced all the brake and shifter lines with black housing to match the black hoods. https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...1#post15804715

Lucky I suppose. I could also help that I'm at the quiet end of a back-office where customers never venture & upper management rarely visits. There's also a locked storage room in the hall if they did get freaky about it but frankly, it's not hurting anyone.

Cheers

I started a new job on June 24. There are only a few people here, and my office -- I HAVE A PRIVATE OFFICE! -- is less than 15 from the front door. I am so lucky!

Also cool is that people think it's a good thing that I ride to work and don't think I'm insane. They think ten miles is a long way to ride, but it's nice that they don't think I'm some weirdo.

I don't normally bring my bike into the office, but it's quiet today and I'm only in for a short time.

Hilarious!

I'm now the IT manager at a chain of senior assisted living facilities. I've done all kinds of computer geek stuff, having studied computer science in school.

I had to take the stand off my MTB - it was heavy as crap and really too short such that the bike was really unstable on the slightest incline. So I put it on my wife's hybrid which has a lower BB.

The evil looks I get in the elevator sometime I am worried we will loose that privilege. There are unsecured racks outside of the building, but I would not trust my bike there.

Honestly I think it is the same bike haters in the elevator as the road, but in all my rides up and down the elevator, there never was an instance where someone couldn't fit in.

I hope it wasn't through gross incompetence on your part and more like "umm, we ran out of money".

Gross incompetence. You think that could have been it?
