Back in the dark this morning with daylight saving. Was able to do a little trail riding on the way as the snow mostly all melted now. Very nice 35degF and no wind.

Nice tailwind today. It'll be a bad headwind this afternoon. Temperature 43F/6C. Today was the first bicycle commute in quite a while. Been walking or taking the bus instead. I'm getting lazy and not wanting to ride when the weather isn't nice.
I am running 5K three times a week though so I don't need the bike exercise as much.

Great commuting weather this morning, with light winds, no rain and temps in low 40s. My legs were worn out from lots of miles over the weekend, so I took it easy. Rode my first metric century yesterday since mid-January, and it was tough -- very cold temps to start and winds picking up toward the end.

Light rain, stiff headwind, 50F. Temps are supposed to drop to mid 40's this afternoon but that's still balmy compared to how it's been. I got so excited about more daylight with DST I forgot that also means back to dark rides in the morning

I planned to go the after work gathering so drove the car. It was cancled so now I hate that I drove. It is also likely the only chanse I get this week to ride in since I'll be in Dallas, TX and Harrisburg, PA Tuesday though Thursday.
holding out for a possible commute of Friday.

first ride of the year w/o the studded snows. so fast.
this was however totally negated by the 20mph headwind on the way home. :/
but it was warmer (48F) and i got away with thermal knickers and a longsleeved baselayer under a shortsleeve jersey.

Very rainy ride in this morning. I tried out the old "plastic-bags-over-the-shoes" trick, and it worked out pretty well. I think my shoes really only got wet from water leaching down my socks. It seems like winter is coming to an end - it was already 50F when I left at 8AM. The light tailwind was a welcome change from the 20-30mph headwind coming home yesterday.
It's supposed to clear up by this afternoon, so hopefully I get a nice dry ride home.

My first commute of the year 28km. It was chilly, +2C with windchill -1C and a stiff headwind. Felt great to get out riding again even if it was slow, cold & wet.
I couldn't find my shoe covers this morning but I could feel my toes again within 10 minutes of arriving at work so all good there. Also had barely controllable shivers for about 3-5 minutes well after arrival but popped on a sweater and that's all better too.
Cheers
