Sorry man

But, at least you have a ton of spare parts.

Not me,

What's sad is that I moved across the continent with all of it last year.

My happiest moment was when I left the US and everything behind (sold) ... house, cars, bikes, all possessions. I still have a box somewhere with diplomas and pictures and stuff.

Start fresh I say!

That would be the end of the pier at Jordan Lake, the closest boat ramp to my office is about an even 15km, so it's a 30km out and back of nice North Carolina rolling terrain on some narrow-ish road.

Sweet!

I'm just curious if I had ever been there before, but I don't think so

That was probably the scariest moment of my life! The bikes and some stuff are on a long voyage through Panama right now, though.

I sent the singlespeed UPS ahead of me just in case the movers took too long.

Cool! Not here, but we do get a discount on £1000/year of gear (up to 40%).

However, I'm cheap, so that doesn't really affect me!

I get some 40 euros per month for travelling expenses. Fixed. I live just over 10 km from work. I can use it for petrol, or bicycle parts, or a bus ticket.

Sweet! We did have a "jobticket" in Frankfurt meaning that all buses/Straßebahn/S-Bahn/U-Bahn in the Rhein-Main valley were only €21/month!
