Duh, Tom, where's your arithmetic! Thanks, Darth Lefty! That makes more sense, and I'm sure you meant "not 3x6."

I should note that I lost the long rear piece of the fender this morning on the way to work. I scanned the other side of the street as well as I could from the opposite side, but I fear it may be lost. It looks like the city swept the streets as well.
I have some spares but nothing that long.
on at: 856km
fell off between: 1921 and 1941km
let see if I catch a break tomorrow morning on the way in to work, if not a short one is going on

Interesting:
I found the rear blade and plastic screw/nut, but it's cracked as someone ran over it. I'll tape it up and reinstall it.
Upon further inspection I noticed that when I caught a branch up my front wheel, it snapped by lower rear part of my front fender off ... should be identifiable in the photo sequence after 1864km. There's no way to attach another "extension", but I think that cover is more than long enough
I'll duct tape the rear back on and see how it goes ... i'll pick up some reflective tape perhaps instead!
Tough week for the Crud Roadracers MK II ... but they have some life left in them.

I made an L profile of some steel, drilled two holes. Screwed it to the frame and to the fender (drilled a hole in the fender too). Placed it where the rack would be mounted - the angled part of the rear triangle. So the rear fender is held at 3 places now: near BB, in the middle (up) and all the way in the rear.
I can post pics. You need some basic tools, or a mate that has them. Way to get an L shaped piece of steel/iron, and a drill for metal.

the street surface here is brutal on 23s.
i got my first flat with the rear Gatorskin tonight ... 2119 km - 1597 km = 522km (324 miles)
i'll pull it apart tomorrow and see what it is and change the front pads as well!
i have a feeling this will be commonplace as i smash a lot edges of surface changes and drainage grates like the ones shown below of the left side below ... but such is life!

stats:
2119km/1316mi
£539/$857 total
£0.25/km
€0.32/km
$0.65/mi

interestingly these guys have done something similar ... and went through 16 tubes over 5000 miles (8000 km) on british roads ... so my 500km/tube estimate seems ok.

best car video of all time (even if you're not a car/auto fan, this is worth seeing):
