Finally, FINALLY!!! After a 7 day lay-off, I did 26 miles this am. It felt really nice to get back on the bike. Had to wear arm warmers as it was a tad chilly at 0645.

No fog for days and couldn't take advantage of it yesterday, today got out early and did a nice 22 mile ride at a new PB avg of 15.3 two rides in a row with PB on avg speed all the miles are paying off, Hopefully the fog stays away for another day and I can get a early ride in tomorrow.

Didn't think I was going to get a ride in today. Skies were pretty dark at 8:30 this morning. Around 9:00 AM, the sun peeked it's head out of the clouds and the skies suddenly turned blue. Grabbed my stuff and off I went to the MUP for a very nice 35 mile ride. I'm hoping for another nice day tomorrow as I have a club ride to do in the morning.

Twenty-four miles on the W&OD with a side trip on the Custis trail. I didn't care for it; way too aggressive hills. Everything's working well.

Seventeen mile ride today at Island Beach State Park. Basically a down and back ride-ocean on one side and the Barnegat bay on the other.

Out at 7 am with a friend for 33 miles in the nice cool air (unknown down here in August). Yay for a far-southerly jet stream!! Not fast (not that I ever am!), but better than last week when I immediately went through sucks all the way to sub-sucks for no apparent reason (still no idea why I did so terribly). Anyway, I wasn't as sucky as last time, although I took it easy on this ride.

19 slow miles with my Saturday bike club. Today was our ride out to the islands. Passed by this run down old place belonging to Derek Jeter and thought I would take a photo with it.

Did a 16 mile spin around the island today with my wife. Her longest ride so far. I earned karma points so tomorrow I can ride again, at the tour of Napa Valley Century. I plan on wearing the 50+ jersey for this one.

56 mi., 3,200 ft. climbing, 16.0 mph avg. with some friends I hadn't seen I a while. Lovely day in NJ for a ride around Round Valley. Looks like I'm finally over 20 rides this year! This was my longest ride in over three years.

32 miles on the Suttons Bay to Traverse City tart trail-on the Mukluk. Big deal for me because I've never gone that far and usually take the Mukluk in the woods about 10 miles max. I thought the trail was still gravel but it was paved. I'd like to take my road bike and see how far I can go.

According to Garmin today's ride was 11.7 miles and 1368 ft. A nice short ride 6% up and 6% down. Not too hot, not too windy ... just right.

105+ miles with 9600 ft of climbing. Finished strong with essentially a time trial with another fella on my wheel for the last 7 miles. So that would make two time trials in one week........

44 very hot and humid miles today with no wind to cool things down. MUP was packed, as it is every Sunday, so less speed meant more time in the heat.

Twenty-three (equivalent) on the elliptic waiting for the rash to subside. Desitin seems to be working. Watching NASCAR....boring. I miss the trees and (sadistically) the hills.

I wanted to get out at first light, but slept in (0500), walked dog, fed horses, got on bike (in that order). It did manage to get a bit warm which I didn't need with so much climbing. Still, accomplished two of the tougher local climbs in one ride: 55 miles, 4600' of climbing (Garmin was shut off for 4-5 of the final miles. 11 mph average is remarkable slow!

I'll edit and include a few pictures when I get time tonight.
