Grabbed a ride after work, meetings are the pits, 16.15 miles, very mild temps, 68°F, with a slight breeze. Supposed to have another cold front move through late tonight or early tomorrow and we will have more late fall like temps. Hopefully no one from here has had any misfortune from the ice and snow so far.

75 minutes on the trainer this AM.
|
22degrees with 15 to 20 mph winds here in NE Ohio but got in 18 miles on the Bacchetta. I don't mind the cold if the damm wind would slow down.

101 miles today. Last 30 into the wind. Great workout.
|
A very nice 35 mile ride this morning.
|
Took a quick 16 mile ride this morning, fantastic riding weather today.

Well last week I had an ICD implant. At the time the word was I was NOT to ride for 6 to 8 weeks due to possibly pulling the lead out of the heart. So I have been walking 4 miles daily….btw that's much harder on my knees than pedaling 40 miles or so. Yesterday at my one week follow-up my EP said the healing was going my way and I could get back on the bike in 3 to 4 weeks….. counting the days:thumb: Looking forward to the new year in more ways than one.

I spun to one the Sufferfest videos, Revolver, and saw: myself. Not as a cyclist. At the start of the CX worlds I can be seen standing to the left shouting abusive comments at the Belgians.
|
44 nice and extremely windy miles this morning.
|
7 miles indoors today, SNAFU outside-Situation Normal-All Froze Up. Warming up this weekend, so it can snow more.
|
I stood in the basement straddling my backup bicycle.... wishing I had the forethought to own a trainer.
I really had convinced myself that the knobby tired mountain bike would see me through the winter months. But the roads are way too icy and difficult to navigate right now. I expect to be able to ride again Saturday afternoon. |
2nd day in a row on the trainer. I think I used it maybe three times all last winder.
I'm sad now. |
Today is Thursday, and I don't think I've been on the bike since Monday. It's unusually cold and windy today, but it's bright and sunny. Things could be worse. As they say in Minnesota, there's no bad weather, only bad clothing. I'm going to see about stuffing the holes in my helmet.

Temps dropped a little during the night. Got up and it was very overcast with the temp at 65º but the wind was still going as strong as it was yesterday. Got in a very nice 35 mile ride and wouldn't you know it, the sun came out as I was ending my ride and warmed things up rather quickly.

Did 101 miles today despite strong winds on return. First Century; did 70 two months ago and 68 about a week ago.
Likely rode near OldTryGuy's 101 ride in SW Florida. We ate at Robert's and rode into the Everglades National Park before heading home. Is that your hood? |
Took the usual 15 mile route this afternoon, kind of windy and chilly today but nothing to write home about. The cold fronts are lined up now, more like NW Florida in the late fall and winter.

Rode around town, 20 mi, with one break. High 20s and sunny, about the same as yesterday and, likely, tomorrow. My fingertips are the achilles heel here. Even with my heaviest motorcycle gloves I can't do an hour without a little pain.
|
Did 48 miles yesterday. Temp was about 77 F. 18 miles of those were hilly. Felt great afterwards.

It is about 20degF here now. On the other hand, about 2hrs north of us in Twin Mountain, NH it is -11degF. The weather observatory on the summit of Mt. Washington is reporting -11degF, current wind speed 53mph, peak wind speed in the past 24hrs of 83mph, and a current wind chill of -47. The low last night was about -20degF. I'm not riding anywhere.
Here, we have 25°F at our home this morning, 33°F at my office right now. The winds abated a lot last night so today should be a good day for some miles. You guys stay warm and safe. Bill |

110 miles with about 4500 ft of climbing. 21 degrees at the start.
|
50 miles today with my ridding buddy and two other MUP regulars. Didn't go very fast as we were solving the nation's problems while riding. Since we came up with a solution, I guess we should run for Congress. :D
